Chantal was on The Hour last night. It was a really fun interview and it was really enjoyable.
George thinks she and Michael Buble should have a crazy music battle that is legit Canadian style. "No guns... no guns... I want TIMBITS. Only with snow on them, not ice, because then you're just being a dick."
It was such a sweet episode.
And then Steven Lewis sang with the Arkells.
I ramble a lot.
Anyways.
Chantal seems like so much fun! She's very spunky.

Hey, I have a question from the US - is there ANYWHERE to get Backfires and Seclusion for her new album, the two tracks that were only available on Canadian iTunes? I'm dying to buy these tracks somewhere, but they don't seem to be available in any way, shape or form! Any pointers would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That's the only thing that bothers me about OLP/Raine/Chantal. They always release extra stuff you can only get in Canada! What about us? *sigh* Maybe one of our Canadian friends has purchased them and would be willing to share with you.
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

If you buy a Canadian iTunes giftcard, you can set up an account for the Canadian iTunes store. I did this to get the live tracks from A Decade and the 2 exclusive tracks from Raine Maida's album (although stupid iTunes never let me download those because iTunes messed up the release). iTunes preorder tracks are always lame though.
