YAY! Over tomorrow and tuesday, we are disecting fetal pigs in biology! We each get our own pig, too. Fun fun fun...

I saw a fetal pig get dissected once. I couldn't tell if the stuff coming out of it was pepto bismo or barbeque sauce. :P

I was one of the students that refused to dissect anything .. they still made me watch but I never once touched a scalpel or anything.

There's one person in my class (that I know of) who won't even be in the room.

Here's what I don't like about it:

After the disection, we have to do a bell-ringer lab. He's going to set up all the opened pigs around the room with toothpicks in different organs. We then have to identify said organs and say what each does.

the only thing i really couldn't bring myself to do when disecting the pig was take out the brain... scalping it and chipping away the scull was more than i could handle.

I'm just glad the blood's drained. That would have been weird if it wasn't...

this is exactly why i chose to go into chemistry instead of biology in high school.

I'm disecting this week too. i was all ready to boycott it untill i found out they were fetal. If they were killed for grade 11 disection there's no way i'd approve, but since they were already dead i'm at least somewhat okay with it.

josh: i agree with the stress fest thing. In the last 8 days I've had two all nighters doing homework, one night up till 5:45, and some other pretty late nights :freak: .... Tonight i'm thinking 3:00 or later, and the work load wont be letting up too much until june 17th. I'm just about ready to smash my head off a wall so i can get some rest and not have to keep working.
