One of my most favorite stockers, Suzie, was out on vacation last week. During that week she learned her husband was terminally ill with lung cancer and there was no hope for treating it. We gave her another week of vacation to take care of family business. I called her up last night when I got to work to check on her and see if she needed anything. She said he had been in pain all day and the nurse had come by to give him medicine to help with the pain, and that he was almost in a coma. At 1:30 this morning her daughter-in-law called me to tell me he passed on an hour or so after I spoke to Suzie.
One of my other stockers told me they had been married for over 40 years.

I purposely stepped on a DVD from blockbuster.com and scratched it up on the floor.
I'm going to cancel my subscription to their rental service before the end of this week. I paid $10 for something, and with all the problems they've had I know that it wasn't service. I figure the $10 should cover me scratching up "The Devil's Background" after they sent it to me (I hadn't queued it) inside of the sleeve for "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (which I would like to see). Not the first time they sent it to me. The first time, I reported that it was the wrong disc and sent it back. But clearly reporting that it is the wrong DVD has NO EFFECT. I also received "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" inside of the sleeve for "I Know What You Did Last Summer" twice. Which the first time didn't piss me off, because the 2nd movie was down in my queue somewhere so I just removed it from my queue and told them to resend the correct DVD. But they didn't bother finding the correct disc for that one either.

I hate blockbuster. I will never go back there.
On the plus side, I'm on their email list to get their coupons because theres a video store around here that honours any movie stores coupons.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Dude....if that shit EVER happens to me, I'll be bitter. I've been a member for like seven months now, and I haven't had any problems yet. Maybe the warehouse in Rochester that my discs tend to come from is a better location.
I keep it for the 2 instore rentals a month I get, cuz I use them for games. Freakin games are like what, 8 bucks there? The two coupons make it worth it alone, plus the 3 movies at a time. All for 17.99, and I got a DVD burner....
