At my school school dances (called stomps) were for everyone. It was cooler when the older kids went. I just never went cause no boys would give me the time of day.

ehhh...

So, the girl i was talking about (the one who i thought was out my league) is really starting tot alk to me alot. I am pretty sure she likes me. The thing now is, my friends all hate her. So I'm kind of torn. When my friends aren't around i can easily talk to her, but when they are around, I almost don't feel any urge to talk to her. It is wierd. I mean she is probably the best looking freshman girl at my school. And if I did anything with her, I would just be looked upon so differently. Good or bad is not what i am worrying about. I like how i am looked upon now....

I'm so confused.

if you like her, you go for her.
if your friends can't accept that, they're not worth your time.

that's all for today's cynical point of view.

so today was either really good or really bad. There is this other group of kids who were in the advanced school. They are now in the same high school as me. Really, I find them much cooler than the kids i went to school with. I was talking to one today and he told me that i would have been one of the coolest kids in their school. So it's really good because that means i'm cool, but what i still haven't really gotten a grip on is that i just can't go back and go to their school. I still feel like i am going to have the chance to just redo things i've already done. Recently i've been trying to think of not waiting for the future or dwelling on the past so i don't let oppurtunities pass me up.

I think this calls for a Strong Bad quote..

"It's the kind of cool where it's like 'I'm so cool, you don't even know I'm cool'"

....Ok, that really didn't add anything. I just wanted to quote Strong Bad...

..So yeah. I agree. Being cool/popular is really overrated

Dude, I totally agree. Just relax and enjoy life! Just let yourself drift naturally towards the people that interest you and quit whining about being popular cause you know what, big secret here: being popular doesn't amount to shit. Those losers are going to be pumping your gas one day. So just kick back and have fun being young.

So many of the "cool" kids from my highschool are doing practically nothing (although apparently two of them got married [ I graduated 2 years ago ] ). I, on the other hand, didn't care what they thought and I've found some really great people to be friends with at university.

I'm not being uptight about it. And it's not that i care about being popular. It's that i would have gotten along better with them than i did with the kids at my middle school. And I'm not really worrying about having friends, because i now have a good amount of them. We still don't do anything outside of school though. The good thing is that i see that i do fit in with the kids that came from the other school. It's great because i feel so care free around them.

And back to the girl situation. The girl from the begining of the year is kind of back to me. We talk alot online and in school. So it's cool

What i said before wasn't supposed to be about being popular or anything, it was just about getting along with people.
