Hehehe, I can't believe so many people associate me with that sign. I got to the building around 5:30 in hopes that I could get in, unfortunately I couldn't because...things just didn't work out. Furthermore, Much Music did a crappy job booking everything so the entire show had to be shot in the Bravo room which is a tiny room that they could barely fit people in, apparently. They didn't do it in the regular spot so I was left outside in the rain holding my sign talking to Bill, the security guy. All-in-all it was fun, even if I did just stand around for a couple of hours doing absoloutely nothing and didn't get to add any signitures to the sign. I ran into a couple of CMers and even Rich and Shelley in the Pizza Pizza and had about a 30 minute conversation. A bunch of us saw Steve, he avoided us and crossed the street way before the mob of about 20 people or so. Jeremy managed to walk out the front doors unnoticed. Sneaky bugger. That's just about it.

I love number 1! Raine's wearing a different fedora this time - almost the exact same one I have! I love it! The person who insulted it = total idiot.

Oh, and picture 3 kinda scares me...hehe...

Just finished watching my tape...great performance by the band..it's been a while since I've heard Raine sound that good. I also like how they seem to add little changes to their songs to make them a bit different each time.

When Matte asked questions about HiPT (especially the "Why did it take you so long to make the album?"), I was like "Didn't you ask this same question when they were on MOD? :freak: Seriously, those questions are so pointless and overdone. How many times have we heard the band explain how they nearly broke up or had to dig through 40 songs before cutting it down to 12 (or 13)...for the life of me, I can't remember how many songs are on that album right now.

Didn't care for that question that girl in the audience asked at all. :(

As stupid as the racism question was, it was amusing watching how the band (especially Raine reacted to it)...he managed to get a scandalous gasp from the audience when he said "what do you mean? white kids are buying into hip hop now" The expression on his face clearly showed how stupid he thought that question was.

 when Raine got the camera to turn to him and said "Screw you, Stephen. Don't screw us!" Yeah, I'm not a Harper fan, either.

I thought the guy who called in was joking at first but by the way the audience reacted and how extremely pissed Raine looked...if it was a joke, it was a bad one. Matt (err..James...) did have an interesting question but dissing one of the band members before asking is not the way to go. He ended up coming off as a complete a--hole. I found it funny how defensive and pissed off Raine became.

But yeah, I find the entire thing way too short. It should have been 2 hours. The only reason the interview part wasn't a total bomb was because of Raine's snide remarks.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

if by interesting, you mean bad, then yea. when the hell did the band say they weren't going to make any more videos? raine had no idea what the guy was talking about.

i agree with you and the whole matt thing. he pretty much asked the same things that he asked on mod.

i want to go down to much music and demand what the hell they were thinking...and then sternly suggest getting some knowledgable vjs...or at least ones competent enough to do some research before asking questions...

Devon should have done the interview. He's the best VJ they have for actual interviews right now besides Hannah.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

There was one stupid one about racism. Something about black people listening to white music. :freak:

Then some caller called in and told Raine that only Frank Sinatra could pull off that hat (it was meant as a joke, but he came off as an ass), then asked about a rumour that they weren't making any more videos (no idea where he got that).

Plus Matte just asked the same questions he asked the last time he interviewed them (for MOD), ie "What took so long making the album" etc etc. Jer looked kind of annoyed at that one, IMO.

So, I only saw it via Joey's webcam pointed at his tv () but I tend to agree with most of what's been said.

I've heard them sound better, but generally it was pretty good, though Raine sounded a little bit off in places (or that may have been Joey singing along :p)

The interview bits were appalling though - except for the constant shots of R&S. The 3 years to make HIPT and almost breaking up has been done to death - and if as someone says they've done it on Much before there's no need at all for it. I can't even remember the girl's question, but I know i was unimpressed by it. The race thing was just incredibly bizarre and pointless and hat guy needs to be found and keeeled (along with the girl in the front row who just stood there often with her arms folded). I was gonna ask where he heard that they weren't going to make videos any more, but I just had a thought - sm.net :O

All in all it was very disappointing. This could have been a great way for OLP to get some good publicity and build up their fanbase some more. If the interviews had been half way decent they could have done that. Or if they'd had some good news to share - a tour or official announcement of the DVD. But as it was, it was sadly lacking which is a big shame as it really wasn't the band's fault.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
