*big hugs for Sinead and her friends*

My work is making 30 people redundant some time soon - 35% of all the people who work there! I think I want to be made redundant - it's being run into the ground by the stupid owner as far as I can tell!

What is being made redundant mean?

You are redundant! Do these people repeat themselves?

School was a nightmare. Crying everywhere, everyone falling apart. I didn't cry, I can't.

Thank Goodness I have friends who understand i'm as torn up on the inside as they are. I feel like a failure for not crying, but I just can't.

Tomorrow the school is having a service, I think the tears will come then.

This is just so horrible...

I'm so sorry Sinead. I know it wasn't personally you that lost someone, but just being around people who cared for this person is devestating. When my neighbour killed herself last December, I spent weeks just attempting to understand the reasons that could have possibly motivated her. There's just no answers, ever.

Wow, just at the beginnning of grade 12, which is really the beginning of a whole new direction in someone's life. There's so many possibilities, and one desision can destroy them all.

I feel terrible for your friend. I'm sure she'll be haunted by unfounded guilt for many years to come.

I'm so sorry...

My mom cannot say no to people. Today a couple of people came over today to tell her about the Mormon religion and ask her to join. She couldn't just say that she wasn't interested, or was satisfied in her religion instead she listened to everything, talked with them, agreed with everything they said. Then she also said she's be very interested in learning more about it, invited them back on thursday, gave them our home number, and accepted the book of Mormon from them. Then she came inside and said she was gonna call them and say she changed her mind and mail the book back. So much effort could have been avoided if she had just said she was happy with the religion she was in.

The poor people that came they seemed so nice, and now she's just gonna cancel on them after promising so much. *sigh*

We had a university assembly today. I feel sorry for my poor english teacher, she had to spend the whole period trying to calm us all down, because the guidance counsellors freaked everyone out. They basically said that if we didn't have high 90s we weren't going anywhere.

That's what my english was trying to tell us for 75 minutes. She was just standing at the front of the class going "what have they done to all you?! what did they say to you?! forget the lesson, let's discuss this, I'll clear it all up." She's such a nice teacher. But guidance basically threw us some course book things briefly went over it then said, well were out of time, have fun with that on your own.
