I'd take having a hot fire poker being shoved in my ears over James Blunt.

I keed, I keed. But it was there, so I had to take it.

I'll pass on both...Emo...well...let's say everyone should grow out of that once they get laid. And the only good thing from James Blunt was that he had the sense to take The Boy Least Likely To on tour with him.

Speaking of....

The Boy Least Likely To - The Best Party Ever
Do Make Say Think - Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn
A Silver Mount Zion - He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corners of Our Rooms

Yep.

Bought my first albums in ages... that's what happens when you're saving every penny for a trip... you end up with a list of cd's to buy, but unfortunately today the bank account could only afford a few...

So I got...
Amy Millan - Honey from the Tombs
Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Fever to tell
Stars - Heart

It's funny that you bought I had Do Make Say Think's last album Alan cause I had that in my hand today as well. I also had the recent The Most Serene Republic album my hand but decided my bank account couldn't afford 5 albums at one time...

See, I really can't afford CDs right now either, as I have to finance a trip to Chicago for the Pitchfork Festival come July and all, but someone traded in the entire Do Make Say Think discography at the record store I go to. I had the rest of their albums put on hold for me, and I still get the employee discount there, so sometimes it's hard to say no.

I wanted to go to see Spoon at that festival, but something came up, and I can't remember what it was at the moment. I think it's work. That one weekend I volunteered to work months in advance is killing me.

Scott Walker - The Drift
Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies
Stephin Merritt - Showtunes
Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks

The cute girl at my work looked at the CDs I bought, and asked me who Bob Dylan was. After looking at her like she was joking, I put the song "Like A Rolling Stone" on and not only did she not know it, half of the people in my store at the time (about eight people) said they didn't know who it was, that they didn't like it, and for me to turn it off and put on some band with the word "Lights" in it that sounded like Simple Plan.

I wanted to hang myself last night.
