My school has a dress code. Makes life easier.

When not in school, I throw on the plainest t-shirt and closest pair of pants.

It's tough to stay as in style as I do.

Anyone know why it says "this document contains no data" when I try to attach a file of zipped pictures to an email?

So I auditioned for a play last Friday, and I find out today that I didn't make it. I've become really good friends with our drama teacher, but last year was a shaky one for me. It was my first year at a new school, and I had a bit of a rough start. I had trouble finding my bearings, calming down, and getting focussed. Toward the end of the year though, I stopped missing class so often, and I worked much harder. I wasn't that upset, but she came and gave me a hug and had a little talk with me. She said "You're almost there, and I'm almost at the point of having complete trust in you". She also said that I'm one of the best actors in the school, and that my last two years will be big for me. It's just a matter of making sure I'm ready, I guess I can understand that, I did miss a lot of school last year and such.

The problem for me is accepting this situation. Although I feel ready, I have only shown that I'm ready for a few months. So I have to make the impression that I'm ready. This is only the fall play, and I still have a chance for the big musical coming up (granted only if am able to work on my vocals). I also will have the opportunity to get big roles in my actual drama class. What's cool though, is that I get to be Assistant Stage Manager, which I think is a better job. The stage manager is stuck writing down all the blocking, but the assistants get to run around doing all kinds of cool stuff - costumes, set building, advertising, getting the set ready, running lines with people. So I'm super excited. It will also require some organization, which isn't my strong point. Hopefully I'll be able to make a good impression, as well as make some improvements.

I am in complete body numbing shock. My very best male friend came out to me this afternoon.

Woah. Everyone always called him gay, while we were younger, now even, but after he told me it was untrue the first time five odd years ago, I believed him and let it go. Not that i'm upset he didn't tell me... he was so upset.

He cried, I cried, it was so emotional. Oh goodness.

We feel good now.

Good.

*is still way shocked*
