Urgggggg.

I don't get a paycheck until October, until which I'm completely broke.

Some of my friends got IAC for me as a very early birthday present, but it's not the deluxe edition, hence I don't get to hear "ROOMS" which i was looking forward to the most!

Can someone PLEASE share Rooms? It would be greatly appreciated!

So what did everyone think of the Deluxe Edition? I loved it, but i think it would have been cool if there was a live performance aspect, but he already added so much that would just be greedy. I think Matt should record a live DVD, there's not really much live video of Matt on the net as far as i know, and he has quite a few fans that don't get to see him often, esspecially American ones.

bah pagebabie
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I agree, I would have loved some live stuff in there.

However, for $25 we're getting a hell of a lot that most artists would never offer.

Same here!

I had avoided downloading Lo Fi B-Sides and Loser Anthems just on the off chance that I'd end up getting them some day. And I did (sort of) with In A Coma.

Wow, I completely forgot that fellas like you two hadn't even heard Loser Anthems or Lofi Bsides. I wish I could re-experience my first listen to Flight Recorder. It is amazing.

The three last songs are some of the best work of his career, in my mind.

You know I've been thinking about how amazing it would be if he released an acoustic cd again... and what songs I'd love to see included. And because I'm intrigued by this thought, and a little bored at the moment, I thought I'd make a list:

Man Of Action
Sort Of A Protest Song
Avalanche
Giant
Suburbia
Running For Home
Symbolistic White Walls
Vermillion
Everything Is Automatic
Change of Season

I think that'd be one amazing acoustic cd...

I love the deluxe edition. The acoustic versions of Truffle Pigs and Tripoli are fantastic. This was also the first time I'd really given Pony Boy a thourough listen and I love it. I don't like the new intro to Big City Life, but the rest of it was awesome, especially when the "been wanderin'" comes in before the last chorus. For a best of compilation, Matt did one hell of a job. This is what bands should do for their fans when doing a compilation album. It was well worth every penny to get this set.

I know... it's not fair to even tease me with such thoughts. That is without question my favorite MGB song of all time. As far as I know he's never even played that song live... so I doubt we'd ever see an acoustic rendition of it (although with Matt you never know).

Did he ever play Truffle Pigs or Tripoli live? Or Advertising On Police Cars?

Not Truffle Pigs, I don't think. Something about awkward guitar tuning. He's played the other too though.
