Hi!
From Vancouver and I just bought presale tickets for both nights at livenation.ca. The first night I got tickets at Left Center row 15 and second night Right Center row 11.I was wondering are the first 10 rows for all the venues VIP? Because aren't presales supported give you the advantage to get really good seats? They are preforming at the Vogue Theater and it is a small venue. :)

Plus, if the meet and greet are the first 10 row. I am guessing it is Hi and Bye.
Also, I am guessing if a lot of people do not buy the VIP, they will sell the seats at regular prices when it come close to the preforming nights.
:)

Thanks. :)

In some places tickets for the right band in a club or theater can sell out in seconds, and an amphitheater in minutes.

Depending on the band or show it may be a better lot, a worse lot, or a similar lot that's available in the presale and regular sale. It just depends. There may have been some very good seats in the presale that were already grabbed up and now the best that's left (of the presale lot) is not so good... hard to say.

Damn, I've never had to worry about seats... I love standing area.

This is a bitch, I need to find some damn good tickets and I better find them.

So what you can pull now may very well be better than what will be available after Saturday. Very difficult to say.

Also any excess VIP package seats and others that were held back for whatever reason may be added into the general sale as it gets closer to the show date -- but I don't recommend trying to wait for that to happen.

I plan on getting tickets within the next two days.

No matter the seats, I'm going I guess. Burt Cummings isn't so big that all the seats suck.

Ok, so I bought VIP tickets...

...now how do I get them? I had to get them through Maple Music (in the compatibility link on the olp.net site). So I have an order number...but that's about it.

It didn't even let me choose my seating...so is it randomly assigned into the VIP section? It says tickets are not shipped in the mail...so is it at the door? It says I can print them...but there is no link to print.

Not really a horrible seat there, thats one reason I like the smaller venues. I have only ever seen OLP outside in a festival setting so this is even more exciting for me.

14 pages already... just wait 'til March when we actually start posting about feedback about hearing kick ass beloved 10 year old OLP songs that we've never ever heard live!! :D

I, for one, after hearing Steve jazz up "Automatic Flowers" in recent concerts, absolutely CANNOT WAIT to see how he owns some of my favorite Mike solos that he's never yet had the chance to try.

http://www.chartattack.com/news/77668/o ... hines-tour

New ChartAttack news article about the Clumsy/SM 2010 tour. Duncan is interviewed; he says they hit the studio again in January 2010, and that their 8th album will be "a departure from previous releases". He added, "we've never tried to write a Clumsy part 2", and confirmed a possible 2010 release date for the album like Steve mentioned.

The word "departure" made me happy. The band is always talking about these awesome, creative bands to relatively obscure bands that they love (like on Twitter and in interviews). I've been wondering if these bands would ever have an influence, so I'm hoping it's this kind of departure.

Hopefully some new songs will be road-tested on this tour... Not to mention a certain someone on this board could help us out by posting some videos of the band working.

I honestly can't believe there's so much going on with OLP right now. There was literally nothing between 2006 and 2009. And now, in 2009 alone, we've seen Burn Burn and its tour, an announcement of a SM/Clumsy country-wide tour, and the announcement of a 8th album that could be released as early as 2010. Wow, this is just too awesome!

I really hope this new album doesn't have so many ballads i wouldn't mind a couple but i would like the next album to be a bit harder.

Guys, don't get too excited! We all know the album won't be out until summer 2011!

In all seriousness though, can anyone answer my question? I bought the VIP tickets, but it doesn't give directions on how to actually get the tickets, or what the seats are.

I honestly don't know what to expect from the album, unless it's a lot like Burn Burn... I don't really see them getting too "out there," just because of their recent albums... But it'd be awesome if they just threw a huge curveball like the how they went from Clumsy to Happiness.

I can't imagine anyone really predicting the change in style from those albums (like how Happiness is dominated by synthesizers, compared to the mid-90s alt. rock of Clumsy).
