as far as i know everything but "fuck" can be used on the radio as long as it is just a part of the lyric and not some centerpiece in the song.
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

They're so inconsistent over here - they'll blank out the 'bitch' in 99 Problems but have no problems playing the Meredith Brooks song totally uncensored.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

that's what i'm mostly excited about, i was so disapointed yesterday. I work at CD Plus now as well as the pool, and i was under the impression that Matt Good's album came out around the same time as OLP's, so i was expecting to have it in our backroom sometime this week. But i looked it up and it says it comes out on September 20th, not August 30th, damn where did i get that idea?

I've never been a fan of LOTGA. I think it's probably his worst work. Mind you I'm a huge fan of his voice and on LOTGA he didn't use it quite like he did on future albums.

Come on now, though:

Vermillion, The War Is Over, Symbolistic White Walls

These songs are just brilliant!

i think Matt peaked vocally somewhere between Raygun and Loser Anthems

Avalanche and AOB are by far the best albums in terms of his use of vocals. They are far more prominent on those albums than any others. Sure there's the odd song on the others, but each song is symphonic on those two albums

i think he was a lot more ambitious on those 2 i'll agree, but i think the having the vocals so singled out on some tracks was a mistake, sometimes he tries but doesn't succeed at what he's going for. I of course still love Matt's voice but i stick to what i said earlier, listen to BM it's so perfect, not strained at all but still goes places older matt stuff wouldn't.

What do you guys think is his vocally weakest? for me it's White Light, but that one was intentionally underproduced and supposed to sound dirty so yeah.

audio of being is pretty decent, especially truffile pigs and anti-pop

but i didnt' like his latest, white light rock and roll review.

i'm currently singing and playing along to Primetime, and Apparitions, i love some of Matt's stuff because it's not that vocally demanding. I can play it on guitar and sing along and actually sound good. At least in my head.

anyone else find that?

matts voice has sounded much better since he quit smoking (after beautiful midnight) as much as i don't care for audio of being, it sounds great vocally. if you compare pre AOB to post AOB you will notice a difference. and anyone who saw him live on the avalanche tour knows that he isn't just protooling it up like a lot of vocalists these days. he can actually hit those notes live

Definately. But the key is that even though his vocals are easier, they still sound amazing.

While We Were Hunting Rabbits
Advertising On Police Cars
Blue Skies Over Bad Lands

Are probably his three best vocal wise, in my mind
