I just replaced my copy of Great Big Sea's Rant and Roar for $6.29 with tax at a used CD store, because I gave my old copy to my mother. She's now a GBS fan. And I think my father actually likes OLP, or maybe he just liked their U2 cover.

Today started as happy because I took my mother shopping and convinced her to spend her own money to purchase the Stones' "40 Licks" pour moi. Then ended as sad because she's not giving it to me until Christmas. Dammit!!!!!!!

But, now I'm happy again because I've convinced myself that because I haven't really spent money on fun stuff for an entire month ( I know - SUCH an accomplishment!), I deserve to buy a new cd. But which one? Danko Jones, Queens of the Stone Age, new U2 out in November, Eminem sndtrck soon, new Queen compilation in November too, ....

Perhaps all.....*evil grin*

Today I bought the new Good Charlotte CD, and my mom bought me a Greatest Hits set of the Guess Who (greatest Canadian rock band ever) that I don't get till Christmas.

Which "Greatest Hits"? I've been checking them out, but want to hold out for a really great Greatest Hits. with every single song that I love by them on it. Haven't seen it yet.

It's not often I agree with Liam (and I've never disagreed with him either, actually) but I can't get into the Hip either. Actually, I saw three of their videos in a row the last time I was in Toronto, and I couldn't stand 'em. Sorry.

Juliana Theory - Emotion is Dead

Amazing CD. For those of you who saw them live, I'll agree, theyre werent that good, but their studio music is incredible. So melodic and emotional, yet it doesn't make you sad :D I'm all for that.

yeah they are better recorded than live. thats kinda sad. but i love that song "you always say goodnight" i wish they would've played that.

edit: but that one song on that cd, where they sound like the freakin backstreet boys, thats a doozy :uh:
