My hair is so long now!

But I need it trimmed because the ends are icky and it needs shape.

Me neither. None of my friends can be convinced to come downtown with me, and I prefer to have company.

J-Neli wrote:That looks cool. I'm guessing you own the flat and pay a mortgage, and not simply rent every month?
Yep. The mortgage is much cheaper than the rent would be. Though it probably wouldn't be now that house prices have gone up so much. I ♥ my flat.
J-Neli wrote:Oh ya, I never even thought to ask you this before, but I've been looking into maybe doing a SWAP program next summer where I'd work in England for 3 months after a month of just travelling around. I haven't been able to find any info on what the minimum wage is over there though. I would think it would be higher than ours which is like 3 pounds/hr (7.45cdn)
I did that in America. It was lots of fun. I sold fudge for 9-10 weeks and then went travelling around for 3 weeks.
The minimum wage here depends on how old you are:
If you're 22+ it's £4.85 now and will rise to £5.05 in October.
If you're 18-21 it's £4.10 now and will rise to £4.25 in October.
If you're 16-17 it looks like it's £3.00.

I bought Donnie Darko last night for $7.99 at HMV.
This makes me happy.

I'm slowly but surely trying to convince my girlfriend that it would be a good idea to go there for a year after we graduate. She loves England, but I think it seems a bit daunting and unrealistic for her, but we'll see what happens.

Inverviewer: So, how do you find America?
John Lennon: Turn left at Greenland. *flash witty smile*
