It was fairly slow today at work. Jane and I were standing at our wickets waiting for customers to come in. For reasons unbeknownst to me, I was thinking about how the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie will be out soon. Suddenly Jane turned to me and said,

"42, Robert."

I stared at her in awe, wondering what the hell was going on.

Then I remember that a few minutes ago she had mentioned that we only had 45 minutes left before we were done for the day.

Weird. :)

you know what i just found out?

my parents have gotten hundreds of letters from realtors and random people wanting to buy this house.

but my parents refused all of them (even a $750 grand offer), because they want me to graduate first. my dad claims that he has kinda always felt bad that we used to move houses so much when i was 10 and younger, so he decided to buy a house, stay in it until i graduate, and then leave it to me while they retire and move away so i can keep the (then mortgage-free) place for myself.

how sweet.

 my house back home where my mom and brother lives probably is about $100,000 and thats if we found a sucker to actually pay that. I think we bought it for $90,000 12 years ago.

...probably, actually. that's what my parents thought.

the area is actually really pretty sweet. i'm 15 minutes away from downtown Vancouver, i've got a view of the City, sea, and mountains, it's on the top of a hill, right next to a market-type street (Lonsdale Ave.) but it's a surprisingly quiet neighbourhood, considering that 2 bus stops are on the other side of the block, we're right between 3 elementary schools, and the high school isn't more than 8 blocks away.

plus, it's north vancouver.

ohm, and this place is NOT a mansion, rusty. :P it's a 3-storey complex with 9 units. we just happen to have bought the coolest one. :D

What does that come to in American, cause that's a VERY nice house here.

So, I just won a HUGE big screen tv in the raffle at my apartment comlex, it's like fifty inches. I also knew I was going to win. My apartment next year is going to be the most popular.

I also sprained my knee today :(

Still a nice house. I think that's more than ours is worth, but I can't be sure.

lol a mansion celebrity style is like $250,000 here in Brandon. it's really cheap to live here unless you're renting. We have a huge shortage of low cost apartments here, most people just get a house instead.

We have a fairly nice middle class/upper middle class house in a nice suburban style neighbor hood and it's like $120,000.

The Biggest house in the city is $1,000,000, and it's HUGE.

Where I live, half of the homes are million dollar homes. Fortunately, we moved in before prices sky rocketed like that.

there are million dollar houses going up all over the place about 3 minutes away from mine.

and they built a 27 hole golf course down the road from me, which means mine will go up in value. crazy
