Looks like we're getting that Heavyweight video.

@MrRaineMaida: some crazy concepts for vid to Heavyweight being thrown around!!! time to make a great video and nice to have 100% control on this!
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Didn't they have 100% on the last two videos? Or didn't they?

I fully expect this video to have people randomly start to become weightless. 8-)

I was thinking that too... although I suppose they kinda just went with the director they hired's vision since they always complain about how much they hate making videos. They probably just wanted to get it over with....

So the fact that their actually EXCITED about making a video speaks volumes!

Maybe it's in house this time? eh? TW can finally make a video he actually knows he's making.

Interesting trivia... "Life" was also released on December 20, back in 2000.

I'd like another similar to Automatic Flowers. One of my favorite videos just for the simplicity and awesomeness of it.

God, I hope they use whoever they used for "The Right Stuff" video. SO well and artistically shot. Definitely the best video they've released for the past couple of albums. Just too bad they never released it as a single : ( .

Nevertheless, the killer comments on "Heavyweight" are encouraging! If they have some amazing video to go with it, they might just blow this one out of the water.

I agreed. The Right Stuff was the best video in years. I loved that one.

Which brings up another question, have they ever released a single before the album title was released?

Not that I can think of. It seems odd to me, the band is clearly still recording as of yesterday. And it couldn't just be finishing touches and last minute overdubs that they're taking care of since Steve recently tweeted about an entirely new piece of music that he wants on the album. That's probably why it isn't named yet though -- could wind up with a name that refers to a song that doesn't make the cut just like "Houses of the Holy" or "OK Computer."

Of course, Burn Burn and HIPT both had songs included that came along very late in the process so this could be business as usual. I guess with the band on twitter we just get to see a different side of things, and get some of the excitement and anxiousness that the band must be feeling by releasing a single for an album that's not done yet.
