Boooo. Sorry, Kimmy. :(

Also! While I'm thinking about it... where are you gonna be May 6 - 8?

I only have one. And no healthcare. And no money.

 Yay Futurama.

And also, Cass. Yes, it is. This is one of the reasons I wanted John Kerry in the White House.

So, I got asked out today at work.

The bad part is that it was her mother saying "my daughter would like to know if you want to go to a movie with her some time". :freak: I'd found out a while ago that her daughter has a huge crush on me and is really shy.

I lied through my teeth and said I was seeing someone.

I hate myself. It's not that I don't like her - I don't even know her. I just don't want a relationship right now.

Plus, the whole thing with her mom asking me out for her is a little weird.

But I can understand the being shy part. I've got 18 years of experience in that department.

I just hate that I lied like that. Am I one of those guys (see: assholes)? Or is that "letting her down easy"?

Well, lying like that is never that good, but if I was cornered like that I probably would have panicked and either done something similar, or came up with some horribly jarbled answer.

As far as I'm concerned that's a legitimate, painless way out of getting out of that kind of situation. I've done it.
