Can anyone living in Vancouver tell me if they recognise this:

Image

Because I'm pretty sure what building I think it is, but I might be imagining things so I want someone to confirm.

Thank you :-*
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

the future is xrated
load me up

put out your lights
poor man's grey
buffalo seven
everything is automatic
alert status red

yeah and the crowd was tresly drunk.
i don't know how bad the moshpits were during mg, i didn't even go near it. earilier, during metric, i almost got squashed though. It was... quite unpleasant.

Im not sure, but I think it may be a view from Matt's apartment (which means it would have to be in downtown).

I don't recognize it though. So, i don't know.

Thanks Jen and Sonya. I was wondering if it was the view from Matt's apartment too. Which would make it kind of freaky since I'm almost 100% sure it's the hotel I stayed in while I was there last month!! I'm trying to work out which side of the building it is, but am struggling. That kind of curved roof thing in the background should help, but it's not :( Is that what you mean when you're talking about Robson Square Sonya? Cos I think it's a little bit too far away for that. But I could be wrong.

And nice setlist :) I <3 Giant live.

Truffle Pigs was apparently played as well.

I think I heard that too, but I wasn't convinced it was actually played.
I think that was the one that Matt said was impossible to play live given the way he'd written it.
Unless I'm getting confused.
Which is very possible.

ya I just heard someone say it was played. I haven't seen an actual set list yet though to confirm it.

Just as long as he avoids the kinds of shit hole small venues in Kingston, where performers are abused and employees are killed. Avoid the hub at all costs.

But there's plenty of small venues in Kingston if he would still come through.

In fact, my house could be considered a VERY small venue!

So it turns out that the building in the pic I posted was of the hotel I stayed in and is also the view from Matt's apartment. I probably looked in his window and didn't even realise! Not that I would have seen much being about 23 stories higher
