so I just got back from Toronto where I had a job interview with the Canadian Government's human resources department. There's a good chance I might get to work this summer as a Summer Employment Officer which means I go to school's and talk to kids about resumes and interviews and finding jobs. All for the sweet amount of roughly 14$/hour. I'm hoping I get it. I find out at the end of next week.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I need a good job this summer too, but chances are I'll be working for $5.15 at good old Jub.

You have got the wrong attitude about work. My friend/neighbor did that all the way up till he was 20 and he made dang good money doing a good job for people and being reliable.

Jobs are jobs. If you're not risking your life to do it, you're not below it.

You can make some awesome money doing that for a living. My dad owns his own landscaping company (which he converts to a snowplowing company in the winter) and is doing phenomenal. [/quote]

Not true. My dad is a landscape guy and also caretakes a 4-H camp as well as doing land caretaking for his boss at the factory *yeah hes got like 3 jobs) and two of them involve mowing lawn.

(hes almost 50, he needs to stop doing this - im scared hes gonna die in the heat or something one day and i wont be there *grrr*)
