i am planning on getting a conch and when it is healed, i want to orbitalize it with my third ear lobe piercing. i also want a tragus and an anti tragus. i wanted a snug and a diath, but i don't think my ears are the right shape for those piercings. my ears are too skinny and long.

You probably would be too if you had five cans of Pepsi between 10-noon! And then 3 beers at lunch.

i think i'm done with my ears .. the right has 3 lobe piercings, 1 top cartiledge, rook and tragus .. i'm going to eventually get my left tragus and rook pierced and then i'm stretching my bottom lobes probably to a 4 gauge and then that's it .. too crowded otherwise I think ..

i still have plans to get my lip repierced for the 3rd time and then that's probably it for my piercings .. i'll be up to about 15 piercings when i'm finished, I think that's enough

They had in the local paper today how they want to put into Law about piercings and tattoos. If you are under 18 years old you will not be allowed or able to get a tattoo or piercing(unless it is ear) unless you have a parents or legal guardians permission.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought you had to have that anyway. I don't know of any places that will do anyone under 17 years of age. Then agian if they want money and the person lies they will.

i am very slowly stretching my bottom lobes too.

and gail, i think the whole age thing depends where you are. i think some states and provinces have different ages. but i would think the approximate age would be 18.

How much does a tragus piercing hurt? How much trouble does it have healing? Is it annoying? I'm considering getting one but I'd like more info.
don't look now, just keep watching the TV hating what's too see waiting for someone to say something that's right.

my tragus piercing didn't hurt .. i didn't even feel the needle go through .. but pain varies per person .. as for stretching .. johnathan stretching is when you take a regular gauge ear piercing, like something done with a piercing gun and you stretch the hole to make it bigger. so i'm doing that to my bottom lobes .. not by myself though since it takes too much time and i'm too lazy to worry about the proper gauges .. i mean it's free anyway so my piercer will do it for me

and healing time on tragus piercings .. a very long time .. i was able to sleep on it a couple of days afterwards but it can take 9 months to a year to be considered fully healed .. mine still gets crusty sometimes if i sleep on it lots .. same with my rook piercing.

most piercing places require you to be 16 for just your basic cartiledge piercing .. and i believe for any genital piercings you have to be 18 or have your parents permission sort of thing .. my piercer has refused people even with parental permission because he didn't think they were old enough for certain piercings.

interesting :freak:
soap is too drying to use on piercings ..

i know they advise you to use anti-bacterial soap for things like lip, nose, navel piercings etc .. but for a cartiledge piercing? that's weird. i've never heard of that before.

i dunno .. it's probably best to follow their instructions :freak:

i only use sea salt soaks for my piercings .. couple spoons of sea salt mixed with warm water .. then just soak a q-tip in that or stick your ear in it .. that's what i used for my tragus and rook .. with my regular cartiledge piercings i didn't use anything special .. they tend to heal fine on their own .. i'd just make sure to stick my ear under the hot water in the shower for a bit and move the ring around to get rid of any crusties.
