Not to brag, but I can play thru pretty much every OLP song, cuz I love to learn them. There are some that I may have a chord off, or not have the TRUE chord (like in Never enough when he drops from a minor to the -7 for the last chord.. etc).
Just outta curiosity, I'd like to do a poll. What size picks do you guys like the most? I usually play with Mediums, cuz they have the bendability (awww j'yah) but also has power to them. Heavy's I use if I'm doing Rythm cuz you can get behind the chord more, and I use Light if it's a technical song, that required picking. But Iwas just wondering what you guys used most.
Rob, I know good links for Coldplay tabs and stuff if you need some. I learned Scientist, yellow and Clocks (lick and all).. it's really easy. it's like
E 11 | 9 | 8
B 11 | 11 x2| 9 (pretty chords plucked down)
G 12 | 10 | 10
and the chords are D#, A# (x2) and G#
for Verses and the "You Are" parts
the the "NOTHING else compaaaares" part it's F# (x2) C# G#
hope that helps. That's my tab try o the day

hehe.. there you just learned Clocks.. hoooraah

I use these teal green Dava Control picks, and I love them. They've got a lot of flexability in the middle, but if you hold it a little lower, it's stiff as a board for rythem stuff.
The only thing that I don't like about them is that they're almost the exact same colour as my carpet, so if I drop one, it's really a pain in the ass to find.

This is the place to ask questions, cuz we ALL know most of the songs. so one of us will know what chord that is, or how the lick goes

Here's one of my well-used picks (I was bored, so I scanned it).
It looks a lot brighter here than normal...

One thing that I hate about picks is that they are super easy to lose and super hard to find.
I bought 80 picks in January and I'm down to about 14

Woah, that's bad.
I have three picks. I've had them for a long while now. I had four, but lost one.

You only lost one pick?

I've probably had a total of 20 picks in my 5-6 years of playing.
I need to get some new Davas, though. They're starting to get rounded.
Oh, and I still have one of my first picks. I actually just found it
under my old amp when I got the new one.
I should mention that I keep my three main picks in a little pick holder, so I rarely lose them.

Maybe I should do that. I tend to tuck my picks into my pockets

I tried that, but I ened up losing a few in the wash, and I got into the habbit of playing air guitar with a pick in school.

I need to start bringing picks around in my pockets again. Maybe I'll do that with my old picks when I get some new ones...
