huh. really? maybe it was just i hadn't slept for two days, and there had been so much hype about the film that my expectations were too high, but i found it all rather flat. i knew what was coming next the whole time - the only interesting part of the movie was the subplot where jackman's character went to america and met david bowie. other than that, i found it very predictable. 'oh, now he's going to ruin this trick by doing this' 'oh now the other one's going to get revenge this way' and it dragged on and on. then the twists at the end seemed cheap. i was disappointed.

I just watched the new Casino Royale, and I agree with Rob and Lando. It's great.

ok. i saw Babel first because i couldn't bear to say i saw borat before babel, i just couldn't.

Babel was really interesting, and really good. Alot of global commentary there.

Borat was funny, pure mindless funny.

I watched Jon Tucker Must Die the other night. It was really stupid, even though that main girl is really cute. And Jon Tucker is extremely hot. I think Mean Girls did it better...even though Linsdey Lohan is lame.

I am going to see The Work and The Glory III on Saturday... which I know means nothing to any of you since I will be the only one seeing it. But they're good!

I just saw Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny tonight.

I basically had to come here to tell you how amazing it was. Go see it, especially if you're high.

It's not that amazing. Yes, it's funny, but you're going to like it a lot more if you know a lot about Tenacious D and have seen the HBO episodes. Basically you need to own their DVD "The Complete Masterworks" before going to see it. It'll still be funny, but without seeing the episodes you'll only get 50% of the experience or jokes.

i definitely wouldn't have understood a damn bit of that movie if i didn't see some of the HBO stuff lando mentioned.

and it was a funny, no brainer movie. and it has meatloaf in it, although in a very clean, nonsweaty form. i barely recognized him.

Casino Royale - again last night. as great the second time around

Thank You For Smoking - also last night. great movie. that kid is creepy as hell (but thankfully that's intentional ... I think ... it's hard to tell these things when you're forced to root for the bad guy like this)

Serendipity - on TV today. one of my guilty pleasures is the occasional semi-smart but sappy-love-story movie that plays over and over on TV, Serendipity included. when it makes it's rounds on TV, I inevitably watch it, whether I want to or not. and that lead to...

High Fidelity - had actually never seen it, despite hearing good things. downloaded and watched. and enjoyed.

Serendipity is my favourite chick flick. Well one of them. Kate Beckinsale is super hot and I'm a huge John Cusack fan. He's done some really good films.

Same goes for High Fidelity it's a Cusack film. I like how most of the movies he does are different from the average mainstream films.

I still say his best movie is Grosse Pointe Blank though.
