Jim - good call on Rat Who Would Be King.

Definitely listen to that one, it's an amazing song. Also check out House of Smoke and Mirrors, and Near Fantastica off the Avalanche album.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

What strikes me as amazing is how anyone could memorize the rat who would be king. I could never do it without singing along to Matt. I'd hate to have to sing that without the help of a vocal track. There really isn't a chorus to it and it's 5+ minutes of straight singing.

I have it. Just message me on AIM or MSN and I'll send it your way. There are some other b-sides and alternates for WLRRR:
Annabelle
Can't Get Shot In the Back If You Don't Run
Empty Road (guitar only, video source from matthewgood.org)

Also, the live version of The Rat Who Would Be King is just awesome. I hope he keeps it part of his live show.

I guess that means you haven't yet delved into his quasi-futuristic impressionist pre-Rochester Kings period...?

I usually don't enjoy Jen's blog (and so I haven't read it in a while), but I found this amusing:

Tomorrow I am starting Stripper-cise. Very exciting. I am doing Pole Dancing Level 1. Just a 6 week class, but I understand that next level I actually get to wear the knee-high pleather vinyl boots (or whatever they are). It's supposed to be really good for your abs. Matt's pretty excited for me, primarily because I'll meet some strippers-in-training, become close friends with them, and have them over for tea all the time. (Ok, that's Matt dictating to me what to write, and by tea, he means pajama parties & pillow fights).

I read her thread everyday after reading Matt's. It's good for the odd laugh. She comes across as a bit of a ditz but maybe that's just cause she just wants her blog to be fun, and really can you judge someone based on a blog?

I never read the blog, its boring and just not what i'm into. Jim; You cant really judge her by her blog, but maybe intelligence wise you can? Everyone is different I guess, uts just not something that interests me in the slightest either.

She does come off as a bit ditzy, but she's probably pretty cool in "real life".

And I honestly can't imagine Matt being able to stand some ditzy girl. Maybe I'm wrong and he's into that thing but I dunno...

no I think she's having fun while she's still young but I think she's aware of all the current events like Matt. She just doesn't choose to carry the wieght upon her shoulders like her husband.
