My prom was fun, but the music sucked. My boyfriend's prom ROCKED. It all depends on the school. Of course, he lived in a rich town, so his was at a much nicer place... but it was more because of the people. His classmates were awesome. And, since we're posting prom pics...

Naveeder Val wrote:HAHA! I went to my junior prom just because I was on court... but I got my dress on sale at JC Penney for 30.00... (and it was still really nice) and my shoes for 9.00 at payless. LOL! There are ways to get around spending a lot of money.

I'm not going to prom this year. Mostly because I hate just about everyone in my class because they're all gullible people... I think I hate all of them, but six; therefore, I do not want to go to the prom and spend all this time with people I never really want to see.

that sounds a lot like me... well, i haven't been to prom yet, but last year i got my homecoming dress for $22. it was a nice full length dress from when jacobsons went out of business. i've also got two of my homecoming dresses from salvation army. they're so cool. and just recently picked up what i guess you could call a "little black dress" from marshall fields on clearance for $20.

Wow .. I spent $100 on the dress and like $20 on the shoes when I was a bridesmaid .. though we had our dresses made for us rather than buy designer ones and we bought our shoes at Walmart .. I spent the entire evening with my shoes off anyway

prom was great

i owe my neverending happiness to prom
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

Seeing that I just rent tuxedos, I don't have to worry about owning a dress to only wear once. And my senior prom sucked a lot. The day before it, I get dumped by my girlfriend at the time. So I had to swallow my pride and ask an ex to go with me, which she did, and yeah, it wasn't fun. I took a couple of random pills from my friend Paul, that cheered me up though....I wonder what was in those pills....
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

my prom dress was like..100 bucks. i got it for a christmas dance in tenth grade..and then decided not to go...so i wore it two years later for prom. and apparently in those two years i lost weight, so the strapless dress had some issues staying up. that led to a few..uhh..embarrassing moments.
