I booked a holiday today 
I'm going to Vancouver and Seattle and Philly.
(and Chicago too, but since I only get to see the airport there it probably doesn't count)

So ... Vancouver area people. Where's a good area to look for a hotel in? The one we stayed in last time I was there with the amazing view of the harbour seems to cost £100 a night which is a bit steep.

anything downtown ie. fairmont, hotel vancouver, and such will be pretty expensive, but you're close to downtown core and where all the action is. it's also possible to get a hotel in richmond, and local transit makes it pretty easy to get downtown...
on broadway/cambie area (not exactly) there's a holiday inn which would be pretty close too...might have a look there!
