I was afraid that Lauren wasn't going to come over tonight. She spent all evening at a church function and was tired when she got home. I begged her to come over, because I had gifts for her that she didn't know about, and she gave in and headed over here. I bought her a dozen roses, a stuffed bear, vanilla scented candles (her favorite), and a 50 dollar gift card to Bath and Body Works (one of her favorite stores). At first she thought just the flowers were hers and then I told her that it was all hers. She was really surprised that I did all that for her. Knowing that she was happy and finally had a great Valentine's Day has made my week.

i want my chomsky paper to be over with NOW. it can't stand in the way of going out to breakfast and the "history loves english" wine and cheese tomorrow. there's no way i can pass up the opportunity of getting drunk off of my tuition.
