I had the most amazing time ever in my life. Best OLP concert. Raine had NOT lost his falsettos! The band never missed a beat like they never stopped touring!
I noticed that you said Raine has not lost his falsettos. I am gonna take this a step further. Did he use them in any of the new songs?
I hate to be bugging you, but did Raine have a higher-pitched voice? I was wondering if his deeper voice is intentional, or if all the touring took a toll on him. Maybe some rest helped him out a little.
His voice was high pitched and he was singing as if he did in the clumsy/happiness days. He uses the falsettos sparingly in DAW - on and off like normal, and on the chorus and really emotional parts in Picture. His voice was perfect. No more of that deep gravity singing at that show!!! I was estatic because I prefer the old singing style to the newer one in Gravity and the Gravity tour... Much better than the DVD.

the red rocks ones or Jeni's.
They also have photos at the Red Rocks site. I flew over them, but never been there. They have others that are breathtaking. I would be in awe just on that alone. Here is another one of the stage.
BTW. they didn't play RR. They visited it while out there. They just started to tour this year. 2 guys a van and nothing else. I can't wait to see them again and hear the new songs they wrote.
When Raine came over to us at the barrier, he screamed high pitched right in our faces. Our hearts leapt out of our chest. We're like its Raine, in our face, screaming really high pitched. What's more perfect? Sorry, it was just an amazing experience. One I will soon not forget.

That's wonderful news. I really think Raine's voice was so strained after the nonstop touring for about three years. You can hear it start to change around the late SM era.
Even Innocent wasn't sung as deep. I mean it was, but not as deep if that makes sense? Yeah and I think his voice was strained during Gravity. And made me really miss the falsettos in ALL the songs, not just some. But they seem to be back, and I hope they stay!

i totally cannot wait to hear the new songs... and THANKS to Jeni and Jim for awesome pics... now we have something new to talk about, Steves and Jer's new looks
Was Shawn with them? I spotted Kevin and James but no-one else I recognised. I don't know whether Shawn's left OLP for good to work with Matt Good and Simple Plan or it's just cos they're not touring at the moment that he's doing that.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
I'm a little late... but Jeni, that review was awesome. I'm so glad you guys had a great time. Too bad more OLP fans didn't get to go and share the experience.
