I'm not too good with computers but I may be able to offer you some assistance. I heard(but Im not sure) that Radeon Video Cards are better than Nvidea Cards. And, it sounds like you may need a faster processor and some more RAM. I have Neverwinter nights and that game seems to un alright on my pc...probably due to the memory.

yeah GTA is pretty annoying, it's to the point where moving around during times when lots is going on in the screen is so choppy it's damn hard just to do what you want

I AM ME wrote:ok guys so i just got my computer boosted from a puny 20 G to a 40 G, mostly because my computer's hard drive crashed and i needed a new one anyways. Yeah that's right 7 G's of music and video GONE!  But anyways, my computer runs kinda choppy when i play busy high graphic games. I'm guessing this is because of my video card and not my pentium lll, any suggestions on good video cards to get? i have a Nvidea Riva TNT2, with a pentium 3, 735 MHz, 256 Mb of RAM. So could anyone suggest a good video card for gaming or perhaps some other problem that may be causing the choppyness? Playing GTA 3 and Neverwinter Nights like this is driving me insane.

Go with ATI Radeon.

bah, nvidia's digital vibrance rules all...specially in games like freelancer  as for video cards on older systems...you need to make sure your motherboard will support it...most video cars and agp 4x or > making it hard for pentium III based motherboards to upgrade...as it is likely a 2x agp port. Check it out at the computer store

Radeon has been catching up recently and many say that Radeon beat out Nvidia in the current card cycle. As far as performance goes, Radeons newest cards beat out Nvidia's newest hands down. However if you want a cheaper card that will allow you to play GTA i'd go for Nvidia's budget cards. (Gefore 4 MX ect.)

I know that feeling

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Anyone see the newest nvidia card: The Geforce 6800 Ultra. It laid a massive smackdown.

I have decided that, based upon coolness factor alone, Onimusha 3 is the best console game ever.
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

What are you talking about? If we judge games on coolness factor alone, Bubble Bobble clearly wins.
