Last CD you bought?
I listened to about the 8th song on the All American Rejects and I really like it. the only thing I don't like is the fast drum machine on some of the songs.
!EMiLY!
sweet blasphemy my giving tree
it hasn't rained in years
i bring to you this sacrificial offering of virgin ears
leave it to me i remain free from all the comforts of home
and where that is i'm pleased as piss to say
i'll never really know

I last bought Bright Eyes' "Lifted...blah blah blah too many words" this weekend.
I haven't gotten to listen to it, because yet again, Lauren has it. She also has my Alkaline Trio "Good Mourning" cd. She has those two, Brand New, Thursday, Bright Eyes "Fevers and Mirrors" and Koufax's "It Had To Do With Love." I need my cds back.
Oh yes, I've heard the new All American Rejects cd, and wow, does it ever drag. I couldn't get into it, especially after knowing they ripped off the bassline to Better Than Ezra's "Good" in their single "Swing, Swing."

I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
I bought
godspeed you black emperor! - F# A# [infinity] <-(that's an infinity symbol)
At first I didn't dig on the verse of spoken dialogue in the beginning, but after another spin it proves to really set the mood going into the first track. Everything builds into a fantastic climax. The atmosphere of sound gets kinda scary at some parts, and not just anybody can pull that off.
My only disappointment is that my album didn't come with a penny flattened by a train. That's what I get for not ordering it straight from them.

Pete Yorn - Day I Forgot
Just 4.99 but worth much more! Don't worry though, I won't tell the retailers

Brutus is an honorable man
It's just coincidence that oil men will wage war in an oil rich land
And this one goes out to my man taking cover in the trenches with a gun in his hand
Then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam...
But Brutus is an honorable man...

I bought The Get Up Kids "On A Wire" and Hot Rod Circuit's "Sorry About Tomorrow"
Both only cost me $6 apiece. I almost bought a second copy of Koufax's "Social Life" because it was so cheap.
