You know, an e-mail list I belong to lost a member over the summer because someone made a negative comment about republicans, he took it personally (when it wasn't even aimed at him), pitched a hissy fit, said he hoped the author (the reason for the list and a major poster on it) wouldn't stoop so low (when she was making comments too), and left. You know what I said? I sent an e-mail to the list and said "If you're going to act like that over an offhand comment that wasn't even directed at you, you're not wanted here anyway. Goodbye and have a nice life."

If Teedus is going to get his panties in a twist because Matt told him to lay off being so disappointed by the "minor" updates on .net and Trustworthy's hype, well then, what's the point in asking him to stick around? There's no need to send a "You suck goodbye" message, unless it's for attention and to make people feel sorry for you, so good riddance if he's going to act like that. There have been times I've wanted to say "fuck it I'm out of here," and I take a break, cool off, and come back in a couple of days and no one had to know. Who needs attention like that? It's ridiculous. Why is everyone begging him to stay if he obviously thinks the hype is so lame?

I'm not trying to start trouble, I just find that people who make "fuck it I'm out of here" posts do it for attention, and it gets annoying, so why acknowledge the need for attention by telling him to stay? If he wants to leave, let him leave.
