We all need to plan out what we're doing and when.

we need to figure this out soon. i was looking up plane tickets last night and they've gone up alot since last time i checked

If Monkey wanted to rent a car, I would half it with him. Also, I'm all up for a day or two at the beach, Six Flags/Disney/Legoland, UHMUD (Ultimate Hub Meetup Dinner).

Kym says for UHMU, we should do our days in LA at the beginning.
That way people can just fly in to LA, we can hang out up there for a couple days or whatever, however long we want to spend in LA, and then we'll be in San Diego on the days that she has to ditch us for class.
So the plan is: Fly into LA... we need to figure out the exact date that everyone should fly in because it'll suck if people are arriving on different days. Same with leaving probably.

Okay Matt, Kym, and I had a chat tonight and this is the schedule we came up with. I also looked up prices for the parks and stuff.
It is based on everyone arriving on July 8th in Los Angeles and leaving on July 16th from LA. If this isn't going to work for you be sure to post here or let me know so we can revise the plans. I understand that the following people are coming: Melissa, Nikki, Soozy, Matt, Matt's girlfriend. And Kym and I will be in California already. And possibly Nam.
8th - arrive in Los Angeles. maybe time to do something that evening depending on when everyone gets in.
9th - Six flags.
10th - Venice, 3rd street, ice skating, clubbing.
11th - Disneyland. Drive to San Diego late at night.
12th - Recovery time. Kym has class in the evening.
13th - Hub bowling tournament. Kym has class in the evening.
14th - Sea world.
15th - Beach in the evening, maybe something else earlier in the day?
16th - Drive back to Los Angeles and people fly home.
Expenses:
Six Flags: $40 with online discount, or $30 if Kym can get us buy-1-get-1-free promo stuffs.
Disneyland: $79 ($69 if Kym can get us southern California resident rate)
Seaworld: $53
Ice skating:
Bowling:
Hotel room for three nights:
Rental car:
Plus food and buying things!

wow. i didn't realize this trip was going to be so expensive. and most of the expensive things are things i can't even do so i'm not really willing to spend alot of money just for me to stand around all day. not so sure i can still go.

That itinerary looks REALLY good!
*excited*
(though still confused about ice skating in LA - it'll be interesting packing bikinis and ice skates!)

Hahahaha not everyone wears bikinis all the time!
But I guess we can imagine!

But I'll need to bring bikinis with me. It's just all my previous holidays have either been winter holidays (jumpers and ice skates) or summer holidays (shorts and bikinis) - the mix of the 2 is a little different.

I think 1 theme park is enough. Heather and I can't afford 3 theme parks. I think Disney would have the most stuff for everyone to enjoy. Melissa if you needed help paying for something, you know I've always got you covered.

If you really like coasters, Six Flags is the way to go. If you like kiddy fun times on not so great rides, go to DisneyLand. I would chose Six Flags, but that's just me. They have 16 rollercoasters or something like that... that place freakin' rocks.
Is anyone who lives along the coast driving there? If that's the case, can I hitch a ride?

Soozy, Nikki, and Melissa all don't do rollercoasters.
I live along the coast but I'm already going to be down in San Diego weeks before the meetup starts. Plus I don't drive.
