I'm trying to figure out what I meant the first time But I can't find the words..
Sean, What I meant by society was like.. British, North American, Australian type deal. Which in a way is true, all of the cultures were at one time very based in religion. All of them didn't accept Homosexuality also.

Thats a very tiny aspect of the worlds Societies, but ok if that's what you were talking about then yes you're right. they traditionally didn't accept Homosexuality, except North American and South American Natives. The point that i'm getting at is every other society basically did except it. Which shows that even though ours is the largest, among all other naturally occuring societies homosexuality was accepted. Which means that it's not a natural human moral, but rather one that is taught by our Abrahamic institutions. Now of course it's harder to find it accepted in countries, but that is only because most countries in the world have been converted to Christainity and Western Culture.
You wanted examples of these other societies? I'll list a few major ones, because the total list would be to long. Many of these societies introduced a lot to the western culture we currently follow, but homosexuality didn't cross over because of religious diffrences.
Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Basically All Asian cultures at some point or another, Native American and South American cultures, several Afircan tribes. You get the point, basiclly that covers every part of the world as Cass said. Indian and Arab culture (before and outside Islamic faith)
The only group i'm not sure on is the many barbaric tribes of Europe. And that's simply because i have never learned much about the history of these tribes. It's quite possible that at least some believed in homosexuality considering native tribes in North America lived a similar lifestyle. Even if they didn't this only strengthens the idea i had before of perhaps the adding of a homosexual taboo, was to appease Barbarian peoples, and help with the conversion.

To many of these groups it was simply and accepted part of life, they understood it existed, and basically were indiffrent to it.
Some such as the Native American's, Indians (India), and Eastern Arabs saw the world as having three genders, and fully respected these people as a third gender, not a deviation of one of the two. It's a hard concept for Westen minds to understand, just as the Natives and Indians, and Asians, believed in several souls as well. I believe Yoga is probably the most commonly understood version of this in Western Culture

Shhhhh

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf
Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...
Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...
So glad you could stay
Forever
He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand
You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..
So glad you could stay
Forever

That's the spirit!
