Do it Nam! Victoria's nicer than Toronto!
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

That's......great to know?

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Start making plans to go to school then. Cause if it require schooling, then you have to have it. Or know someone. But to be a pharmacist I don't think you can get around the education part.

My career interests requires school too, and acceptance into one of the state's most difficults programs. I've already been turned down once. By the time I get in I'll probably be done with a bachelor in health education and ready to get married. Sucktastic.

Has anyone here chose a career that your parents strongly disagree with?

People, I think we should restate what we do, people got new new jobs and I'm still interested.

I am working as a proctor now for my university for online and independent study students who come in. I sit at this computer and watch people take tests. Score!

I now have a reason to post in this thread.

I work at Kohl's department store from 10:15pm to 6:15am stocking shelves/racks, putting up new prices for ad set, and occasionally processing freight (cutting open boxes and taking the stuff out of all the wrapping and putting it on racks to head out onto the floor).

I work with Melissa.

I've had lots of great jobs cuz I went to a great university with a co-op program so I got to test-drive different careers... thank goodness because I had no idea what I wanted to do. I tried PR, marketing, project management and finance for big corporations in Canada. During school I was also a teaching assistant for business classes.

When I finished school I had job offers from each of my co-op companies, but I chose a finance career (not accounting!) with General Electric (GE) Canada. It's been 2.5 years now and it's great :)
