Oh, and my hugest actual phobia is that I'll wake up one morning, and have no idea what happened in the past month/year. Memory loss scares me so much. I have no idea what I would do if i were ever in a coma.

I can't look in someone's eyes for a very long period of time either. I can, but if I look too long it's just...weird.

I used to have this OCD type thing where if put something in my bag, or pocket, I'd have to reach my hand in there and count 25 times that it was in there. And if it was, I probably still wouldn't be sure, so I'd end up counting to like a 200 before I could leave alone. I also used to have this thing where every word spoken I would type it in my head like it was on a keyboard.

I don't know what I'm afraid of. I get scared but there is nothing I can think of that really terrifies me.

I think snakes and animals like that are fantastic, I have absolutely no fear of the ocean even though when I was really young I was stung by a jellyfish and then days later my sister was bit by an eel. You'd think that would freak me out but no. I have no problem with heights either. Like flying is no problem and I've been on top of cliffs before and what not. I am far too rational to think be afraid of ghosts and spirits because I would talk myself out of believing it. I've experienced memory loss, I've experienced family deaths. I've dealt with loneliness.

I greatly dislike getting cuts on your hands and other people doing so, but I wouldn't call that a fear.

I'm a fucking rock.

Thats kind of sad.

(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Do you do it every single time you leave the house?

Because if you do, there's a good chance you do have OCD.

yeah. i do it every time. its really annoying because i KNOW i checked it already but then im like "what IF i didnt and im remembering some other time? if i just take 2 seconds out and do it now, its better than coming home to a burned down house" and then ill go and check again. and i shampoo my hair multiple times too. i think its more that i have shitty memory ahhaha, and im really paranoid. and like, perfectionistic. everythign has to be perfect and equal...

like, you know how you'll get your finger caught in the zipper of your bag? and it hurts like HELL? well, if it happens by accident to my right thumb, i purposely do it to my left thumb, just so they both feel equal.

:freak: i need some meds, yo

I don;t know if this is weird..

I am really afraid of bridges and tunnels. I get so uncomfortable everytime I am on one.. ALways afraid they are going to collapse or cave in.. I knowthat is stupid, but I can't help the way I feel..

I also don;t like elevators. I get nervous in them. I think cause I got stuck in them alot as a kid..Between floors is the worse..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

that reminds me of a corner gas episode, about fears. one woman claimed she wasn't afraid of anything, and they were testing everything that she could be afraid of. none of them scared her.
except open spaces.

soo..essentially, she's a woman, lives on the wide open prairies, and has agoraphobia.

...um. yes. your post just reminded me of that.

Mechanical Thought wrote:- No one but me can touch my neck. I have this weird thing about anyone putting their hands there.

I have that with my knees. Other people just can't touch them.

I have it with my neck too, but there are good reasons for that :)

me too :)

I understand that. I used to be really bad about things like that but I'm mostly better now. I used to have serious symmetry issues. I once had a big fight with my stepmother because we were trying to work out how to build a wardrobe unit in my bedroom and she kept coming up with things that weren't symmetrical and I couldn't deal with it!

Phones scare me too. And answerphones.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I had this thing when I was little and I lived in the ghetto in Michigan, I was afraid that indians would come through my window and kidnap me. I don't know where I got this idea from, but I think it was cause eople would tell of all the indian things that happened in the area and for some reason I didn't think they weren't just out there living on the lake. Had to sleep with my parents .

yeah, everything has to be the same with me.
when i was younger, i liked spinning around in circles (don't ask)..if i spun left 5 times, i would have to spin the other way 5 times, or i would think my body is off balance or something. :freak:

also. i am terrified of closets. i don't know why, but i always think there's someone hiding in there. :(

hm. aaaand, if i put something in my bag or something, i check it like a million times before leaving incase someone took it out or whatever. i can't help it, but it bothers me a lot. bah.

i know there's more. but i can't think of it right now.

don't tell her your house is haunted or she seriously will not go inside the place.

Wow, I was trying to think of a good one, and then I saw that and realized Bethany already pointed it out. Yeah, that's my major one, I'm like 19 and I still need a bit of a light on at bedtime :wtf:

That's about it, though. I mean, I'm a pilot so I'm obviously not afraid of heights or flying, water doesn't scare me, bugs REALLY annoy me but I'm not afraid of them (cept moths. ew.), I only freak out a little bit in claustrophobic situations, and I don't have any paranoias about certain parts of my body or anything.

Yeah, I will go on any rollercoaster or ride imagineable and have a kickass time, but I won't even go NEAR a stupid small children's haunted house in someone's basement.

As for the compulsive behaviour: I have this thing where I feel an intense need to balance out actions on both sides of my body... as a child if i started tapping my leg against something I'd have to make the exact same number of taps with the other leg to "make it fair". Wtf? I still do stuff like that all the time.

I think everyone has these weird things...or just everyone on the cm.

I don't have any weird body things. Except I get irritated when people touch my butt or my sides.

*grabs Catsie's ass*

my friend has that neck thing too... you're not allowed to touch his neck or he spazzes on you. i'm personally of the opinion that it's related to surgery he had on his neck when he was like 7 but he claims he never thought of that
