seriously, people spend so much on clothes.....and with the current styles, you can get your clothes at the thrift store and spend A TON less, and the clothes look the same....seriously, who wants FAKE vintage that looks stained and worn but you paid 50 bucks for it?

				Me three!!!

Though, I don't get to the thrift store as much as I'd like. I tend to just go to Ross, or hit sales racks at DEB, or someplace else cheap.
Screw being trendy. Being trendy's stupid.

I seriously dislike shopping. And spending money. I like having clothes and dressing nice, but I like them appear in my closet.
I make the crappiest woman ever. What sort of woman doesn't enjoy spending her husband into the ground so she can have pretty fake nails, and ridiculiously expensive clothing? Not a good one.
Goodness, you could cover a poor family in health insurance with the excess money! *shudder*

I agree with allllllll of that cept the disliking shopping part.

I love shopping... but only when the clothes are cheap and I can look at the pricetag and go "OOH! $2!!!"

 I'm an awesome bargain shopper.

				pfft.
and what about people who spend hundreds of dollars on art? my friend james spent like $4000 on all of his musical equipment (drums, guitars, bass, pedals, PA, etc.) i'd rather have spent that on clothes.
LOL GUYS IT'S JUST A HOBBY. you gotta pay the cost to be the boss you know. fashion is art. i'm a collector. it's not my fault that as a bonus, i get to wear my collection and look really really really really really sexy in it.
like extremely sexy.
oh, by the way. i spend a lot of money on clothes (probably $8-12000 CAD thus far.), i'm trendy, and hahaha, i'm really tremendously ridiculously smart. so like, i think i may have pointed out some flaws in your theories there guys LOL

uh oh. your sarcasm has prompted me to behave in a very un chrislike fashion and break out the BRAINS.
"especially since expensive pants are for tools "
"seriously, people spend so much on clothes.....and with the current styles, you can get your clothes at the thrift store and spend A TON less, and the clothes look the same....seriously, who wants FAKE vintage that looks stained and worn but you paid 50 bucks for it? "

gosh, those are value judgements based on a morally subjective act. that's what we refer to around here, in the "damn genius" club as irrational behaviour and JUDGING.
i remember when i was in highschool, there were these kids called BULLIES that liked to judge alot too. they used to say
"look at those fuckin' dirty skids. they shop at value village."
"shopping at the thrift store is stupid"
"inexpensive pants are for fuckin' tools"
gosh, sounds to me like somebody here is juding other people on what they wear. that seems kind of immature and shallow to me. congratulations.
i don't break your balls for wearing your mass produced "same as everybody else" old navy jeans, so don't break mine for not minding spending a little extra to get something a little higher quality and a little different. you have made the extreme error of assuming you can know anything about somebody by the clothes they wear. you can't.
please don't go pushing that well dressed guy in your grade into any lockers, mmmk?
any rebuttals?
no?
cool.

I don't care what you spend your money on. I was merely pointing out my opinion. I spend money on nice things once in a while. I just try not go get carried away

				It sure is!
And Chris, before you try to act better than us for not being judgemental, you might wanna delete that little thread about "chavs". It's completely hypocritical.
