kevin devine - splitting up christmas

i mean, it's definitely not a christmas song, per say, but it leaves you with that warm, fuzzy christmasy feeling. plus, there are sleighbells! and metaphysical conceit!!

If you're really into music, and I mean REALLY, definately check out Where Will You Be Christmas Day from the Dust-to-Digital label, it's the most magnificent collection of Christmas songs that I've ever heard.

I just heard Butch Walker's version of Last Christmas.

who would of thought this song would be such a hit with the modern rockers. the station here use to play JEW's version.

My favorite X-mas songs(traditional) is Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer

others:

U2-(christmas)baby please come home
mariah carey-all I want for x-mas
annie lennox-winter wonderland
venessa williams-sleigh bells
wham -last Chritamas
bon Jovi-please come home for christmas
darlene love-nobody should be alone on christmas
band aid-do they know it is christmas(original)
john lennon-happy x-mas(war is over)

I dunno who sings it but the song "It's cold outside" Is awesome. It's more of a winter song than x-mas. It was in the movie Elf, and the girls voice in the song and the movie are amazing.

This is the mix CD (entitled "2005's Christmas Frisbee") that I made for the music store I work at:

1. Badly Drawn Boy - Donna and Blitzen
2. Jimmy Eat World - Last Christmas
3. Rufus Wainwright - Spotlight On Christmas
4. Phantom Planet - Winter Wonderland
5. Rilo Kiley - XMas Cake
6. Dashboard Confessional - The Only Gift I Need (don't really like Dashboard, but it's just a simple acoustic song. Not really whiny)
7. Coldplay - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
8. Eisley - The Winter Song
9. Brand New - O Holy Night
10. Rooney - Merry Xmas Everybody
11. Leona Naess - Christmas
12. The Walkmen - Christmas Party
13. Jimmy Eat World - 12.23.95
14. Ben Folds - Lonely Christmas Eve
15. Mew - She Came Home for Christmas
16. Weezer - The Christmas Song
17. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (Techno)

I just ripped the first "A Very Special Christmas" to my computer.

I didn't realize it came out so long ago til I looked at the copyright and saw "1987". :freak: I feel old. I remember buying this.
