Those being one and the same place

Apparently part of their reasoning in thinking such a civilization existed is that oddly similar stories about it appeared in parts of the world that were totally inaccessible to each other at like exactly the same time... the theory being that survivors were strewed out across the ocean and told their story wherever they landed

Sounds like a thoroughly knowledgeable and researched opinion!

Well we all the know the sea holds some crazy things where people can't get too. Bioluminecent fish, among other things, thing that we cannot possibly understand plus there have been sightings and all that. With atlantis though, an entire land mass, just submerged so far down into the ocean that no research team has even found hints of it by chance. Buildings and everything, it just seems a little far fetched to me.

the thing is, people supposedly have found hints of it.

and the monster dude would have been dead ages ago. plus i mean, there's just no way.....

What kind of hints have they found? Also if one male and one female had survived then it's very possible. Nobody knows what lurks under the water man.

well, they've done searches and marked the information as "secret" as soon as they've surfaced. nothing's been released i guess, but it's rumored all over the place that they're supposed to make a huge discovory soon.

and if two of them survived - them being monstors and all - they'd have no competition and probably take over the ocean by now. I guess it could be 'possible' but they'd have to live exclusively way the hell below where anybody ever goes.

Well think about it for a second. The bigger the fish, the more oxygen they need. Thats why big fish can't swim into the shallow water, they need the deeper water for the oxygen. So if something that big is alive and if it breathes underwater it is going to need some deep ass water to live in.

Do you know anything about biology? Seriously.

Well no. But still, it would need deep water to hide in.

i'm sure a few big fuckers live down there, but nothing to that extent.

you could have always used the water pressure argument though :P

Damn. Is is too late for that argument?

i saw a little show somewhere where it said that a theory of the "disappearance of Atlantis" (only quoting what the show said, not what i think) is that it's actually Ireland. It said that a lot of historical texts about Atlantis described a lot of landmarks that were actually in Ireland... and a lot of stories about Atlantis that people told "through the generations" are very similar to old Irish folk lore... and some guy's geographical descriptions of Atlantis (like how long it is from coast to coast, etc.) are very similar to Ireland, and etc...

I can't remember my sources, other than it was some show from the Discovery Channel, so ignore this entire post if you want.
