I had no idea Amy was coming out with a solo album. I've really liked her contribution to Stars, so her new album will be worth checking out. Thanks.

As some of you may already know, Broken Social Scene performed last nite at the juno awards... also, BSS won the (first ever televised) Alternative Album of the Year, beating out Metric, Tegan & Sara, Hot Hot Heat, and the New Pornographers. (for more on the junos, go to the juno thread)

there arent 2 drummers, as far as i know. i was surprised, too, because i've only seen them perform with just 1. one of them was justin peroff, who is the usual drummer, but i didnt recognize the other guy.

when I saw them in Toronto they had Sebastien from DFA playing drums with them on a couple songs. If I'm not mistaken the drummer last night looked kind of like the drummer from Arcade Fire, but i could be wrong.

Yeah I thought so too, but BSS are infamous for the rotating line up, and incestous relations in Canadian music. so that's very possible.

This was the first televised one? I could have sworn that years ago when the Alternative Category was introduced The New Pornographer's won it on TV.

For those who might be interested, Broken Social Scene as well as Feist, Hot Hot Heat, Mobile, Blue October, Story of the Year, Yellowcard, Live, Secret Machines and many others will be performing at the Quebec Summer Festival that runs from July 6th to the 16th. The whole festival is GA and admission to all the shows is 25,00$.
If anyone wants to come and needs a couch, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

After seeing BSS with every member there (sans Emily), it would almost seem like a let down to see them again without all of them on stage together.
