because you are inside a lot in the winter. in the summer, you're outside more or you have the windows open and your not confined. therefore, germs do not spread as easily. whereas in the winter, you are indoors all the time, and germs can spread very easily in a closed space full of people. my calculus teacher told me that 2 years ago.
