Well, I wouldn't say
anything. Hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy is a hilarious book. Restuarant at the end of the universe is as well. But after that the books go on a downhill tread IMO.

I'm reading the series right now, I'm on "So Long, and Thanks For the Fish", and I'm still really enjoying it. HHGTTG had a more obvious sort of comedy, where as I think he's going for a more subtle irony in the later books.

Review #3: Artifact by Gregory Benford.
I read this last year. Benford writes science fiction novels. Artifact is not totally out there. It is rooted in the real world. It is the very near future. Greece is under major political influence to withdraw from a capitalistic society. The tension between the western world is immense. On an Archaeological dig at minoan sites, an american group finds a strange box. Upon examination, the box has strange physical and radioactive traits. Trying to take it out of the country becomes difficult, as the greek government soon pursues the box with extreme measures. They soon learn that the box once ravaged ancient Greece, and their removal of it has sparked a potential disaster greater than an atomic bomb.
My rating:
:O :O :O :O and a ;*

although I had to read it for school, and school usually makes things suck, I loved Brave New World.
Another book I like is Mystic River... I read it 2x before I saw the movie.. and the movie really didn't compare. I thought that was weird, considering everyone was telling me the movie is amazing. Read it!

i watched the movie a couple of days ago and i liked it. i didn't know it was based on a book. maybe i should check it out sometime.
right now, i am reading the zodiac unmasked. it's about the zodiac killer and the steps that were taken after the murders to attempt to catch him. i like it, but then again, i have a morbid fascination with serial killers.
