I think that's one of the worst covers U2 has ever done.

I like their version. I didn't say it was better-but it is a cover I like.
It is funny cause I was going to do a thread simliar to this asking which covers are better and which are worse.
I just find it sad that so many bands are covering songs today, instead of original material. Nothing wrong with doing a song by another band, but it seems that the whole chart is full of covers.
also other covers I like
Foo Fighters-Darlin Nikki
REM-One(the U2 song)
Sepultura-Bullet In The Blue Sky-I heard this in a best buy one day. I have to say it makes me really appreciate The Edge alot more as a guitar player. Plus they do a real good version of this. Who would of thought? U2 covered by a death metal band. Next camibal corpse doing REM
covers I hate or cringe at hearing.
WILLIAM HUNG-SHE BANGS!!!> I love Ricky Martin( yes I do actually have the cd this song is off)
Jessica Simpson- ANGELS.( nobody will ever be as good as my ROBBIE)
BUsh(although I love Gavin)-Wild Horses
and a few more I am sure will come to me.

P.O.D did a cover of Bullet The Blue Sky awile back. They may not be death metal but its definetely a harder version of the song. Its a pretty decent cover too.

Some of the songs you guys are listing are making me sad.

There've been quite a few that I've read and thought "dear god, that one SUCKS compared to the original."
You guys need to listen to more older music.
