I totally groove on Drumbeat (which uses napigator). And iTunes. You can't go wrong with an empty pocketbook and the feeling that you've done your part to save the music industry.

Limewire is great for music it's true. I've never had problems finding single songs on there and they never ever ever ever have errors or loops like Kazaa had.
Also, as for Bit torrent, like josh said, about making sure to upload as much as you download, that's not entirely true. There are sites where you have to register and log in to download, those sites monitor your IP address so that you don't leech, download only and not upload what soever. However most sites you don't have to log into, and those sites you don't have to upload even 1kb of data and you'll still get tons of seeds and a really great DL speed. If you're behind a firewall etc... just like Kazaa, it could limit the amount of users you Download from.
And Gavtodd, like Rob said, only in the USA. In Canada it's completely LEGAL to download files. It's the uploading of files that we're not allowed to do.

its gavin, how do you prevent uploading then, because naturally the software wants to prevent you from leaching. Last time i got something off of there i uploaded nearly 2gb before i got 1gb of download.

Lando wrote:I've always found that bit torrent is way faster than Kazaa and other apps, because you can get like 100 seeds or more, seeds are users who are sharing the file, so you can get major fast downloads and you can always resume your download if it doesn't finish, so I think it's a great program, especially for videos which are huge in file size, because they download so fast and you can resume if you need to.
Not if you're me!!!

I usually get about 5 seeds, tops... if I'm lucky. And the highest speeds I get are in the single (or double, once again if I'm lucky) digits.

Freaking firewall.
Meanwhile, I upload at pretty much my max upload speed (30k/s) at almost all times.
It also slows my computer to a crawl, along with my internet.

That would've been me. I got busted for sharing (yes, sharing... not downloading... the letter simply said to stop sharing it) Charmed. FREAKING CHARMED!!!
Once again: bittorrent is the devil.

I installed it yesterday, and it's got freaking Adware that gets installed with it... that can't be uninstalled... well, on my machine anyway. It's supposed to be able to be uninstalled normally, but that didn't work for me. I had to delete it, then go into my registry and mess with crap.

The Pro version supposedly has no adware, though... so I downloaded it and am gonna install it. If it installs LimeShop, I swear to god, I'm gonna jump out my window.

It's long too late.......and besides that damn LimeShop situation, I've found Limewire to blow away Kazaa.
