Hello, this is Smooke. One of the owners of #OurLadyPeace channel on EFnet (IRC). I know the Hub has it's own "Dedicated" fans for OLP and own chat areas. But I'm trying to open up the world. To let the world into OLP.

A lot of people use IRC and the chatrooms within it therefore it will attract people into it and ask? "OLP? I've never heard of them? Who are they?" ...or "OLP, I've heard of them I never knew they had dedicated fans." or anything. And this will make the IRC community known to OLP. Also make future generations of fans.

So what we're trying to do is create a partnership within the OLP FAN community to create a bigger FAN SHIP for OLP.

OLP.cc wouldn't have posted it on their website if it posed a threat to all chat forums. Instead they wanted to post it since it would be beneficial to the OLP community.

I have been in the IRC OLP chat constantly for a while now. Once you can get two people simultaneously paying attention, it's fun.

I don't think anyone thought it was an actual threat Smooke.

And it must be a lot of fun with two people chatting. It would be just like MSN or AIM or one of those other kick ass messengers, yet people can join in your convo and download files from IRC!

Man! I have a sweet ass idea, someone should start a Direct Connect Hub!!!! You could TOTALLY do this on DC too!

Someone start one! SERIOUSLY! Do it. Do it.

Downloading files are strictly prohibited on the #OurLadyPeace chatroom

It's just a place for the fans to chat on an open network.

I can assure the Clumsy Monkey community and DC Hub community will rest with the idea that no downloading is permitted on my channel. It's just a place to hang.

Ok, pictures can be shared via sending files. You are allowed to send files to other users on IRC. Now if that doesn't work I'm sure I can set up a dcc bot

but I don't want to take away the hubs purpose of downloading the their live stuff that they have ripped. And I don't want to ruin their reputation because i love the HUB and I'd do anything to keep it safe.
