if an older sister, or mother dies and the child wants to take her place that bad her period will onset at a verry young age. it was on maury a while ago. there is a pill to stop it untill the parents think the child is old enough.

I have never heard of anyone younger than 8 getting their period. If the 11 year old had to have it cut out of her (sorry I forgot the word and I'm sure I'll remember it in five minutes, but too bad), then I'm pretty sure it would kill off a two year old.

You get your scientific and reproductive facts off of maury?

An 11 year old is in no way able to give concent. They are too impressionable and will often times do things because they are told that they are supposed to. They have no idea that they're not. It's horrible for the psyche of the eleven year old girl, too. For God's sakes, you are supposed to be playing with dolls still.

do you know anything about reproduction? a girl sort of has to start her period to get pregnant. i don't think any 2 year olds would be starting their period.

i don't care how badly the 2 year old wants to be the "mother" or whatever, there is no possible way that the girl can start her period. for god's sakes, most 2 year olds aren't even potty trained! :wtf:

I've heard of an 18 month old starting her period. I was watching it on this show on TLC. It sounds pretty unbelievable, but i guess anything can happen. Keep in mind, just because a two year old has her period, by no means is she ready to be a mother. It just wouldn't happen.

Ya, it is possible for a child as young as 18 months to have her period. I wrote my finals paper last year on the topic of puberty, and the affects of precocious/late puberty on children. It's rare but still possible for some to be that young, but most cases of precocious puberty occur at around 7 or 8.

A two year old would never be able to carry the child. It may be able to menstruate but its not possible for it to have the child. There's a huge difference between menstruation and capabilities.

i may have imagined this, but isn't there a 2-5 year span between when a girl first gets her period and when the periods become regular where the girl is actually sterile?

in some cases i don't agree with the idea of statatuary rape, but this is un-arguable, there's no way she's old enoughj to give consent, unlike a 17 year old girl to her 19 year old boyfriend

If I remember correctly. Most females start to menstrate between 10-13 years old. Although some can start later, some earlier. I never heard any earlier then ten. For the record. I started menstrating a few weeks before my 11th birthday. I started young.

With this I find it disturbing that a 26 year old male would have sex with a 11 year old. That is sick. Beleive it or not, there are some religions, cultures that marry off their daughters to men much older then them. SOmetimes these girls are barely teens and they are marrying 40 year old men and having children.

They had an aritcle in one magazine about it. It was the later day saints. I tell you I don't care, I still find it disturbing grown men having sex with children. Even grown woman. they had a famous case years ago. This teacher from Seattle I beleive got pregnant form one of her students. She was 34, the student was 13. SHe had kids older then him. She was sentenced to jail. I heard after she was released she contacted the kid who was 16/17 years old now. that is sick. I don't knwo what is wrong with this picture.

I do know a few people who had babies in their teens.

As for consent . An 11 year old may know about sex, but I doubt they can really comprehend it all. YOu can teach anyone specifics.

BTW, I knew about sex at young age. When we were in school they had people come in. The boys saw one film, the girls a different film. I think we were in 2nd-or 3rd grade at the time. I know Sex Education was taught in 5-6th grade health.

You know in NYC. they want to pass a rule that teen moms can get Maternity leave. People are split on this. Some feel it willpromote teen sex. Others feel it is a great way to get girils to stay in school.

I have to say this. I went to the AIDS March in DC in 1996. They had a young girl(16) talk on the capitol Hilla bout AIDS> She said people think that cause we talk about sex, we are having it. They don't understand that we are educating ourselves. It was moving cause I do feel that alot of adults think if you talk about it, you must be doing it. I did alot of vounteer work for AIDS and spoke about it. Does that mean I have it.

I rather have a kid educated, then not knowing.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Youngest mother in recorded medical history was a mere 5 years old at the time of her child's birth.

It's entirely possible, apparently.

(Note: This in no way, shape or form means that it's okay, just that it's possible.)

What do you mean by the latter day saints? That one or both of the party members were members of that church?

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever
