i used to love KISS 98.5 when i was younger and throughout highschool .. i think that's based out of Buffalo but i'm not positive .. now i mainly listen to 102.1 the edge or 103.3 .. meh, i just channel scan and if i hear a song a like i leave it there :)

i listen to the radio quite a bit since i take a lot of buses and walk everywhere so i always have my walkman with me .. until i get a new discman i'm stuck with the radio .. whenever we drive around though we tend to bring cd's instead since yes, the radio tends to suck

Yep Joey thats Buffalo alright... They pretty well went to a rap/R&B format though.

Weird thing is that when I saw OLP in Buffalo, they were there handing out stickers as if they were hosting the thing... stupid kiss...

yeah i noticed that too about kiss being mainly rap/r&b the past couple of years ..
i've always wanted to go to one of their Christmas bashes though since they usually have some pretty decent bands for that at least.

101.3 KDWB (Minneapolis/St Paul MN).....behind KROC or whatever that one is in LA, the past 6 years (I believe) its been voted the best radio station in the country.

Nothing beats it......nothing, I guarantee it.

89x is the biggest waste of radio waves (aside from 93.1) in southeast michigan. in fact i would go so far as to say that the only reason to turn on the radio around here is NPR (101.9 in detroit, 91.7 or 89.1 in Ann Arbor)

Come on, Q95.5 is the biggest waste of radio space in Michigan.

there are few good radio stations in Edmonton.

Usually if i'm listening to the radio i'll listen to 100.3 the Bear, but they play way too much mainstream rock. I'll also listen to CJSR 88.5, the university radio station, but sometimes that's just too whacked out for me. Otherwise, there's CKUA, which is good for jazz, and other non popular types of music. But other than those three which aren't great, it's all crap.

:O You can't say that. Without 89x i'd probably never have heard any OLP songs.

The best station you can get here in London is Xfm - there's nothing at all OLP-ish or alternative rock kind of stuff, but there's good alternative stuff. Virgin's also good, but slightly more popular music - they'll play Nickelback and Avril Lavigne and people like that as well as an unbelievable amount of RHCPs stuff!

the best i had here was 101.1 XFM [it actually played some decent music] but they got rid of it so i've given up on radio altogether.

Meh all the radio stations here blow chunks.
And since we are small no one does anything about it.

we have a station that plays old rock.
a station that plays top 40.
and one in between.

And then there is college radio....which is just messed up. In a bad way.

I haven't listened to 89X since around August, but they're still my station of choice. At least I don't have to listen to teenybopper stuff on there.
