Yeah but then theres all that " We feel like a new band" jazz, and steve will really just be hitting his stride in this record, so why would they quit now? I know that they have a baby and so on but what would be wrong with releasing album 7 in two or three years?

meh we saw what happened to Moist's "hiatus" it turned into David Usher. Just because they got Steve doesn't mean much either, Melissa was the new "perfect fit" in Smashing Pumpkins, and they broke up 1 album later.

i dunno, i don't see olp just all of sudden ending it. I think we'll see OLP go the way kind of like how the hip did. there still around, putting out records every three or four years (not excessive) with gord doing his solo stuff. I don't agree with this being OLP's last record.

after making huge strides in the states, I cannot see why they would wrap it up now. They have a few more albums in them.

  AGREES^^^

From when I saw the band last, I was told they were aiming for March of this year( that was Sept) plus didn't Jeremy also say when he was on Edge it would come out around March.

It could still happen. Aren't tjhey in the Studio in Cali now.they could be mixing it. March is still 6+weeks off. It will come out when it comes out. As for being their last CD. I disagree. I think they still have music left in them. It may be awhile between the next record.Who knows?

We really have been spoiled. I don't think people realize that OLP have released a CD almost ever 1 to 1-1/2 years since CLumsy.

Clumsy-97
Happiness-99
Spiritual Machines-00'(01' USA)
Gravity-02'
Live-03'

New Cd sometime in 04'. Plus they have stuff on the internet thatnks to fans. So it is not like we haven't heard stuff from them in years. I just wanted to point that out to the negative people.

As for Mike Turner. It is about time. It has been way too long. Two years since we heard a peep from him.

Don't Raine and Chantal have a studio in their home? They can do stuff together there. When I saw Chantal last year she said she was taking time off to have her baby, and make a new CD. She didn't say anything about working with her HUSBAND on her next CD.

I think we need to stop speculating and wait and see what the future holds for the band.

I heard that Raine and Chantal will be making a polka album together, and that Raine will be leaving OLP to do it.

If they have 27 or 30 new songs, they wouldn't even have to make another record if they didn't want to. I think they could release a new album, tour for a while to promote it, take however much time off they want to, release a second album from that collection of new songs, and do another tour at their convenience. With that much music that they have made, I just don't see it being the end. But hey I can't predict the future so who knows?

They wouldn't want to do that. After touring, they'd have a bunch of new ideas, so the others would just seem stale.

Though, if they really like some, they might bring a couple from this batch to a seventh album.

Since there seems to be a major lack of this on the board: mah oh man, I think this 6th album is gonna kick ass.
