I have two jobs. Am I the only one so far?

The first is at a German Hall in a city just beside mine. I work there on Saturday nights only, except there are random dates in the summer and I do the whole weekend during the Christmas holidays. I thoroughly adore this position because I get to eat really good food, made by all these professional cooks and I love all the people with whom I work. I am stationed in the lounge portion upstairs, instead of the main hall, which is really sweet because the boss stays downstairs and I can take as many breaks as I like, as long as the job gets done. I'm also allowed to drink while I'm there, so I spend half of the night drunk and getting paid for it.

My second job is at the local pool. I lifeguard and instruct children how to swim. I love this job, as well. It's awesome because I really do like the people I work with (some more then I should) and I work a specific time each week, so I always know my hours way beforehand. My boss loves me because I "give 110%" (or so he thinks), so I'm pretty much in for a higher position as soon as I am qualified. I also get a gym membership for free for working there and the 40 hours of volunteer work I needed for school were signed off on the spot, and I didn't have to do anything.

I'm a register biscuit at Canadian Tire.
Starting pay is decent at $7.00/h. The hours aren't very flexible, but I don't know if that's just at my location or not. The people are nice, but the job is repetitive.

I'm trying to get myself hired at Blockbuster post haste.

I ref soccer, but only during the summer. Pay is awesome, but unless you get a tournement, you only get a couple hours a week.

I think I'm going to apply for a job at some places. I don't know where, yet...

i have 2 jobs.

i work part time at this adaptive technology company (it's really part time during school year and almost full time during summer break)

and i work at the mississauga news. i do verifications.

i basically sit around and do nothing at both jobs. it can be very boring and I deal with a lot of dumb customers over the phone and that sucks.

I did telemarketing for 2 years. It was the worse job ever. Only good thing bout it was that the pay was pretty darn good..

finding emo wrote:I used to work at Hallmark and if you ever get the opportunity, take it because it is quite possibly the sweetest job ever. You don't really do all that much and old ladies are really, really funny.

I almost worked there. I took the telemarketing job instead cause the money was better :uh:

oh yea and i'm currently unemployed. I hate it.

Job? What's that?

What on earth is a "register biscuit"???

I work for a company that makes credit card software for banks. Officially my job title is something silly like 'software engineer 3' but that really means I'm a senior programmer. 'Cept I don't really do programming - I do analysis and team leading and bug fixing and stuff like that.

It's not a bad job and it pays stupidly well, but I'm kind of bored at the moment and lots of our customers are stupid and waste my time!

I work as an "administrative assistant" at Southern Energy Homes in Leeds, Alabama. The place is basically a mobile home lot (Kinda like a car lot, but we sell trailers). The job kinda sucks, all I really do is answer phones, take messages, run earrands, and file for titles on houses sold (which I had to figure out how to do by MYSELF because the person supposed to train me quit like a week after I started, so I wung it for the first few months.

It's kinda boring, but pay is good (8.50/hour) so i guess I'm ayite. I can also make my own hours, I just have to get in about 28 a week. Since I'm going to college, too, it werks out pretty sweet. But, it's still uber-boring.

Plus, the job is like 70 miles from my house, so I gotta drive about an hour both ways to werk, everyday. :(

i'm a cashier at this slow, rural convenience store.

it's boring, but it gives me a chance to hang out with some cool co-workers, and i also get lots and lots of time to read.

last summer i worked at the exotic bird store and i think i'll be going back this summer. they like me there and they pay me in cash, off the books.

i enjoy feeding and handling the birdies and don't mind organizing and stocking shelves or bagging seed, but cleaning bird shit off the cages blows. so does mopping the floor. but oh well, i guess you take the bad with the good.

oh yeah, and the owner is a dick but the women i work with are great.

Well i have 3 jobs although 2 of them are technically the same job.

Lifeguard: I protect the public from themselves. I take a lot of lip from punk ass kids, and idiot parents that are pissed off a 17 year old is confronting them. The job can be good, but its also completely mind numbing, to stand and do 5 second scans of a pool for 5 hours. No breaks. It's much harder then the public thinks.

Swimming/First Aid Instructor: I love teaching kids, i do all ages and skills. This is the fun part of my job and i love it. It's not very hard either. Notto mention kids recognize me in public, give me gifts and tell people i'm a cool teacher :)

Security: It's not hard, i'm pretty tall which makes me look more intimidating then i really am. Pretty much just walk around, and deal with vandals.

i have the security job because i don't get enough hours at the pool

A cashier.

By the sounds of it, your job is pretty nifty.
