1. It is in the crapiest theater in Pittsburgh

well.... there were no flies. but some fly fishing.

so your subconscious was probably telling you to take the bait - to go for it all, to be the big fish and not stop till you get everything.

i'm pretty sure i get the point.

he just overexagerated everything a bit.. everything he said happened to some extent and his dad really did live the dream life and whatnot.
and the fish at the end represent him living on eternally through his stories that would never be forgotten... blah, blah, blah, it just sounded better the other way.
