My mom told me, that if I don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Well that's BS!!!

But I didn't listen to the song. So I can't comment.

hey man your voice sounds pretty good to me! Good choice on not trying to go for the falsetto, lots of cover songs butcher a song when they try but don't succeed at the falsetto. Other then the odd guitar mistake it sounds really good. I have new respect for you

 Thanks. There's one guitar error (the worst one, IMO) where I'm singing "Wait for me", and I was concentrating too hard on hitting the "wait" note right, then my strumming arm just kind of stopped. I looked down at it and thought "Fuck you, man. That's not cool" then continued playing.

Man, I'm pissed right now. I recorded all of Is Anybody Home except for the solo. I had filled all four of my tracks, so I decided to bounce them together. But NO! Let's not let Robert do that! Let's turn the volume up RANDOMLY in the MIDDLE OF THE TRACK, just to blow Robert's ear drums and make him have to record everything ALL OVER AGAIN!

Fuck!

I spent two hours on that. And it was PERFECT so far.

FUCK!

Oh well, tomorrow is another day, and I'll make another attempt at it. This one is going to be AMAZING. Clean guitar track, lead guitar, a THIRD guitar at the end. Man, this song is sweet. [/blowing own horn]

Now, I need some rest. I'll try IAH again tomorrow.

Oh, and I can now see why OLP might have been a little sick of doing the whole perfected layering thing after SM. Man, that would have been frustrating. I can't say that I don't miss that style, but at least I can understand where they're coming from better.

Then again, if I was going to make loads of cash off this, I wouldn't care as much.

I'm going to record IAH (again :cuss: ) tomorrow. That way I'll have all (or at least most) of the day to do it. Hopefully I can figure out this bouncing stuff before then.

Oh dear god, I think I'm going to kill something...

I was trying to record IAH again, and for some reason beyond my knowledge, the sound from my amp started flickering off. I was able to finish the song without a problem, but right before the solo (I was doing the rhythm track), it cuts in and out.

So, I'm off to kill stuff.

I'm hoping it was just a loose cable. I'll kind of ignore it for now, and if it happens again, I'm taking my amp, pedal and cables to Centre Stage and asking them what's wrong.

And if they don't fix it, they will be the ones I kill.

Kick It! DO IT!!!

When did you get your amp mate?

Early this summer. I definately need to check out the warrenty on it (though if it's somehow run out, I can just pay for it to be fixed).

However, I'll wait and see if it happens again.

Is it a Tube or SS amp?

http://www.marshallamps.com/images/products/mg/mg.html

Non-valve amp. FDD circuitry that's supposed to mimic the sound of an all-valve amp (if I choose to turn it on).

Hmmmm. Dude....is your input jack on your guitar loose? A new Marshall amp shouldn't be breaking down so soon.

I really dont think that Robbo's amp is breaking. I've had similar problems before. My jack was loose.
