I desperatly want my lip pierced... but i can't get it done till i get my braces off.. i hate braces

I had my lip pierced in the centre .. first time it was great, then I took it out for a job interview and just didn't put it back in .. then my work decides to change their piercing rule and allow piercings 3 months after I had already taken it out .. so I had it pierced again in the centre .. and it was great for the first 3 days, then I tore the inside of it by moving the ring around and it started bleeding uncontrollably .. nice trip to the ER though .. I kept it in but it just wasn't healing properly after that .. I ended up taking it out too soon and I couldn't get the smaller ring back in .. piercer's was closed (it was sunday) so I lost that piercing for the second time.

I adore lip rings .. so much

So, I want to get the right side of my lip pierced eventually ..
I already have a right nose piercing though ..
I like the right side :lol:

right now i have my ears pierced. i had two holes in each ear at two separate times, but long stories.

i want to get my tongue pierced. i've wanted to since i was 13. But, at my current co-op placement (97.3 EZ Rock for you Torontonians, lol) they don't really allow face piercings. so i'll probably wait until the summer or my 17th birthday.
in the near future, though, i might get my nipple pierced.

I've got two peircings . . . an ear peircing (which I got when I was ten and never wear anymore) and an eyebrow ring, but . . . I'd kind of like to get some others, for example I definately want to get my ears disked eventually, and I'm considering the idea of a lip ring . . . that is my story.

Some people who responded are actual piercers too .. so yeah, it's a myth. Your face won't become paralyzed, there's nerves in and around your EYE, but not your eyebrow .. so just hope that piercer doesn't stab you in the eye and it's all good :lol:

i've got 7 piercings in total. i've got 2 in each lobe, an industrial and a rook. i've got big plans for more piercings, but that's probably only going to happen in the summer. i have pictures, but they really suck, so i won't post them.

a labret piercing is the one piercing i'll never get ..
it ruins your teeth and gums .. causes a lot of damage ..

i had one for 24 hours, then took it out :lol:

There's one guy at my school (a friend of a friend) who pieces himself constantly. One day he just took a needle (I guess I didn't mention the drugs) and put it through his throat in front of his adam's apple. Yeah...

Not surprisingly, it got infected so he had to take it out.

Well you can pierce nearly every body part there is .. I've seen people do surface piercings on their wrists, necks, cleavage area .. just a barbell through the skin .. they don't last and will eventually 'migrate' out but yeah .. if there's skin, it's possible to pierce it and more than likely someone has tried too :lol:

oh my .. it rubs the enamel off your teeth, rubs your gums off exposing the roots of your teeth, and once the gum tissue is worn down it doesn't grow back .. causing infections, your teeth to fall out .. your teeth to separate ..

no .. that's from a labret ... not a lip ring .. my lip ring didn't touch my teeth at all .. but labret piercings rub on them constantly

Thanx for the info. I wanted to get a labret piercing eventually, but now...uhh, I don't think I want to anymore. :lol:

I could still get a lip piercing though. I hate talking about this stuff now, knowing I can't get it done until I'm older lol...only 3 months until I can get my cartilage done though.

Yeah lip piercings aren't so bad .. if you get a lip ring and it rests between two teeth it can eventually make your teeth shift .. but that takes years, like 5 years or so .. none of my facial piercings (other than nose and tongue) will be left in for 5 years so I'm not too concerned.

thats the point..so many girls at my school are getting it, its just annoying me now. I dont want to be part of this new "fad" lol. but ya, i probably wouldnt have been allowed to get it anyways.

piercings and tattoos have been around as fads/trends forever .. it's not gonna go away anytime soon either .. meh to each their own I guess.

half the girls at work have their noses pierced, is mine any less special to me? nope .. then again i'm not the type of person that gives a shit what others do.

It's a shame to not do something you want to do just because someone else has done it before you.
