I'd like them to do something with David Bowie, but their sounds would kind of clash, I guess.
What Artist/Band Would You Like To See OLP Do A Song With?

IME would go good with Raine because they both have diffrent voices. also raine could do a edwin era song pretty good because they were similar in some ways. But OLP and MGB would be amazing as well

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911
"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good
I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

i def like the thought of OLP with matthew good, but they'd never do that i think matt hates OLP too much... plus matt would probably consider that selling out, and i think matt doing his own thing is what maes him so awesome... but i think the Bono thing would really kick ass, and i think it would be awesome if Raine and Bono either wrote a song together, or if they did like that peace on earth song... either way it's be kickass

I don't think U2 would ever team up with OLP... they're way out of their league.

As far as a collaboratoin goes, I don't now why,b ut I could totally see OLP and Counting Crows. ALso Better Than Ezra, that'd be neato. And, of course, U2
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

[quote="Cass"]U2 is better. Beatles annoy me after so long.

How can you even compare the two? The Beatles are THE BEATLES, the greatest band to ever live. You might not personally like them but you have to admit that what they did has never been repeated. There's no way U2 even compares to them. There really isn't a band that could hold a light to them.

REM, now thats an idea.Neil down and obey.. wrote:I don't think any band could out-do a hookup greater than having U2 join OLP.
U2's the single, greatest band in the universe......
Hell, I'd even love to see Raine hooking up to do a song with REM.
I could see them doing The Great Beyond or Everybody Hurts. That would actually be excellent now that i think of it.
And as for Matt Good, they would have to do a new song or cover a song that they both enjoy. Damn, i know it will never happen, but jesus that would be one of the biggest highlights in music history, in my mind ofcourse.
I guess i am the only one who doesn't really like the whole U2 idea. I mean, it just seems like it wouldn't be too special. It's too... let's say... predictable.
And I personally feel that the Beatles are over rated. They have some good songs, but there have been bands out that have made just overall better songs than the beatles. Though, no band will ever be called better than The Beatles, at least not until every person living through the 60's-70's is long gone. The beatles just did something new. That is the only reason they are looked upon so highly. I may get heavily beaten for saying this, but I feel that:
Matthew Good Band
Our Lady Peace
Radiohead
Smashing Pumkins
Nirvana
Have all made songs better than the best Beatles' song. But ofcourse none of them with the exception of Nirvana will ever be considered to have done so. I think those 5 bands are probably in the top ten bands if not top five bands of the past decade. I do not look at a band's greatness as popularity. It is a very big shame that the US will never be blessed to hear the incredible insight of Matthew Good Band and old Our Lady Peace. I am still shocked that there is such a lack of appreciation towards Radiohead here in the US. I guess America's mass population will never look upon music as art instead of just 3 minutes of beats to dance and sing along to. I am just very perplexed on why people can't appreciate insightful lyrics and touching sounds. It's a very big shame.
THERE'S TOO MANY OF US THAT DON'T WANT TO FIGHT IT
